The application process was remarkably smooth, with the paint adhering evenly and drying much faster than anticipated. The satin black finish it leaves is absolutely gorgeous - not too glossy, yet not entirely matte, striking the perfect balance for a professional look. The durability of this paint is noteworthy. It has held up impressively against scratches and weathering, maintaining its rich color and smooth finish. Additionally, the coverage is excellent, requiring fewer coats than I initially thought, which was both time and cost-efficient. One minor downside is the odor, which is quite strong during application, so proper ventilation is a must. Also, while the spray nozzle generally provides a consistent spray, it can occasionally clog if not cleaned properly after use. Overall, this Satin Black Color Coat spray paint is a fantastic product for anyone looking to give their projects a sleek, durable finish. Whether for automotive parts, home décor, or outdoor furniture, it delivers quality results that truly last. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00FMS8N0E | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #455,209 in Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Home Improvement ) #2,412 in Spray Paint | | Brand | SEM | | Brand Name | SEM | | Color Code | #000000 | | Colour | Black | | Container Type | Tin | | Country of Origin | USA | | Coverage | Full | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 1,149 Reviews | | Dry Time In Hours | 24 | | Finish Type | Satin | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00646786152436 | | Importer Contact Information | ATM RETAIL 1st Floor Beside P and T Building Lakdi Ka Pul Hyderabad Telangana 500004 | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Is Waterproof | True | | Item Form | Aerosol | | Item Type Name | paint | | Item Volume | 12 Fluid Ounces | | Item Weight | 0.75 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Sem Products | | Model Number | SEM15243 | | Paint Type | Spray | | Part Number | SEM15243 | | Size | 12 fluid_ounces | | Specific Uses For Product | Interior | | Surface Recommendation | Wood | | UPC | 646786152436 163121239817 | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SEM - **Colour:** Black - **Finish Type:** Satin - **Item Volume:** 12 Fluid Ounces - **Paint Type:** Spray ## Images ![Products 15243 Color Coat- Satin Black& Aerosol - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81GW1TersKL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can anyone please answer how well this would work on carpet i have a couple year old gmc pick up with black carpet, bleach lightly spilled** A: This is what the Professional Detail shops use. You'll always notice the spots probably, but only because you know they are there. Carpet may be a bit stiffer in that area depending on how many coats it takes. **Q: How much does one can cover? Also, what products do you have to buy along with this one to get the job done?** A: 2 door panels probably. Just clean the surface well and this is all you need. **Q: Does this come in a quart or gallon to use with a hplv spray gun?** A: The closest Items would be SEM 39141 trim Black, or XL40001 Hot Rod Satin black which also requires the 40104 Hardener. **Q: Will this color match ebony black interior in a 2017 ford explorer xlt?** A: Yes ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Long lasting but you need to give it more than one layer *by I***M on 3 April 2026* I used it on the steering wheel and worked well ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great coverage *by A***Y on 26 February 2024* I recently used the Satin Black Color Coat spray paint for a variety of projects around the house, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations.
