Q: Why is it so much more expensive than competing models?

Greetings, The majority of robot vacuum are not intelligent robots. The just basically move about the room in random fashion, changing course when they bump into obstacles. This LG Hom-Bot is equipped with dual cameras. The upper camera maps the shape of the room by 'reading' the ceiling. The lower camera tells the Bot precisely where is it in the room. The front sensors help it to avoid furniture and other obstacles without ramming its way about the room. The intelligent software tells the Hom-Bot where it has not cleaned and where it has cleaned to avoid redundancy and increase efficiency. Over time it will 'learn' the room thereby improving its cleaning efficiency in less time by better mapping of the room. The average robot vacuum just bangs its way around the round room, totally blind and dumb. Yes, it is more expensive, but then "ya gets whatcha pays fur". Steve Franks

Q: Does this good for mosaic floor

There aren't any restrictions to what type of floor that the LG HOM-BOT SQUARE ROBOTIC VACUUM, Model # VR6570LVM can be used on. If you have mosaic tile floors, mopping can help keep them looking beautiful and the vacuum comes with 2 x Ultra Fiber mops that you can use with the included mop plate when you attach it to the vacuum. The Ultra microfiber mop should be kept dry and should not be used on wet surfaces. If there is moisture on the floor, it can interfere with the navigation and damage the unit...^IFV

Q: Does the mop works well? Or is better to have two different robots? or fore vacuum cleansing and the other for mopping?

The dust mop works fine. We seldom use it. The vacuum itself gets the floors extremely clean so we only use the dust mop once in awhile.

Q: Does it clean in the dark?

Never had I started it in the dark. Its day time cleaning for me. But a good question. I will try it.
