Good looking and it’s sturdy.

The box came damaged but was happy it did not affect the product. Perfect for extra countertop seating, watering plants on higher shelves, and reaching upper cabinets. It is solid wood, however like other reviews, I would not expect miracles using this on a daily basis with a lot of weight. It’s a step stool. I’m 5’8”, 165lbs and feel completely comfortable on it.

The overall quality of material and construction is good. The steps can feel wobbly or like it’s going to fold in on itself when you’re putting weight on them. Probably fine for a quick step up, but not good if you’re going to be using the steps extensively because there’s no “locking mechanism” to keep it stable. Comfortable to sit on the top step and I use it to access and peruse my bookshelf.

Though it has a form factor that my wife likes, this stool is made of garbage material. It snapped under normal use by a 150 lb woman; she landed pretty hard onto an item that was on the floor, and was lucky not to suffer more-serious injury. The break itself, as you can see from the picture, wasn't even along a joint. This is a relatively expensive stool, so we are disappointed.I'll add that the stool has a first step that is easy to miss on the way down. Moreover, the feet slide all over the place. They need some kind of rubber on the step side and a longer first step (which there is room for when folded).I wish we could get our money back or, if this was just a fluke, a replacement.

Perfect for a kitchen stool. You can sit on it to watch tv, or climb on it to reach that high cabinet. It looks great, too. Love it!

Folds away to a small profile, very sturdy, and a good look. High enough for the wife (5' 4") to reach the highest items in her walk in closet.

I love this item! First I ordered it in white thinking that it would look good with my white kitchen cabinets with black hardware, but the white was far too white and looked out of place in my kitchen. The black one works much better. It's sort of a soft black, almost like a dark espresso. The stain was worn off in a couple of places. I did not take stars off because I like the item so much, also I solved the problem by coloring in those small areas with a black Sharpie

This step-stool is okay, and it folds up nicely, but if you're big like me (220 pounds), just be careful. It flexes. It flexes enough to make me uncomfortable. I got the version with the black finish, but you can see through the paint that the wood is knotty (and therefore weak). When I step on it, I can feel it flex. This flexing is made worse by the fact that the feet have no grip. There's no rubber or anything, so this thing glides like it's on ice. I've put some 3M adhesive rubber on the bottom so that it can grab. It appears to help, but this thing is still flexing a lot. I won't climb above the second step. Be careful, folks.

Looks great and functional but remember when its new the paint is very glossy so be careful standing on it until its worn a bit.

I had place an order for the black and instead I received a white one. product seams good but not the colour I wanted
