Great for making Tonic Syrup.
Perfect for making Gin Syrup. Now I can carbonate water, then pour in a glass with ice, add the syrup, then gin. Amazing product.

Red Cinchona Bark
I've seen various spellings for this (Chinchona and Cinchona) but I love the flavour of the quinine in tonic water. It tastes just like grapefruit - the peel of which does, incidently, contain quinine. I thought I'd be able to buy Chinchona bark at our local health food store but no... so i bought it here. Yeah, the taste is bitter but a touch of honey makes it okay. If you can handle the taste of grapefruit or bitter melon you'll be okay with this tea just the way it is without the sweetners. I love grapefruit but this does need a touch of sweet. I'd read quite a few articles that mentioned quinine helps with leg cramps as does magnesium so I'm 'all ears' as it were. The cramps can get pretty bad - and painful - so I'm hoping this helps me.

Tastes Horrible
I was warned. But really it tastes horrible. I forget now why I even bought it. Blood pressure? Blood sugar? LOL. One of the many old man ailments anyway.

Very dangerous put me in the hospital
I bought this to make tonic to drink with gin. Used a small amount and had serious stomabk cramping. Did a little research and learned quinine is highly dangerous to extract at home as it can cause quinine poisoning with very little. I called poison control and ended up in a hospital attached to a heart monitor, with very serious treatments. My heart was operating in a way that concerned the doctor. My bloodwork showed quinine poisoning. This was after two gin and tonics made with a small amount of syrup made with around a tablespoon of this product. It is irresponsible to sell this product.
