BioAdvanced 5-in-1 Weed and Feed Granules - Kills Lawn Weeds & Crabgrass - Feeds, Greens & Strengthens Lawn - Treats Up to 4,000 Square Feet - 9.6 lb Bag

Been taking care of yards at homes I've owned since 1984. I put this BioAdvanced down in March. It has snowed twice since then (Chicago). I have a few Dandelions, but the grass is gorgeous, green and thick! Develop a version to put down in November to prevent Spring Weeds and make the grass Green as fast as possible in March, if it can be done. Thanks again for a superb product! (BTW...I used the season-long weed killer/preventer last year. The grass wasn't as green, but there were zero weeds the entire Spring/Summer!)

This product gets better results than the professional fertilizing companies I've used in the past. It gets rid of hard to eradicate weeds and lasts for several months. I suggest a few weeks after application using "Ironite" or a product that has the main or sole nutrient nitrogen for a really green lawn weed free. It's remarkable that the Bayer 5 in 1 eradicates crabgrass too. The only downside to the product is that it definitely has a chemical odor that lingers a a couple days or more. Pour the product into the spreader on cement so if you spill it won't destroy the lawn. Wear long sleeves, gloves, pants, goggles and maybe a mask. Your neighbors might think you're odd but hey better to be safe than have any adverse outcome from using any chemical. Keep pets off too for at least a couple days or until the odor goes away. Those are my suggestions for using this product a couple times of year versus multiple times fertilizing and doing it safely for a weed free, green (use a nitrogen nutrient), lush, professional looking lawn.

Everywhere I used it saw the grass grow better, although it did not fight some weeds effectively

Great product that works as described if you follow instructions as with any other product of this kind. I have been using this weed and feed for 3 years now.

Used this product for the last 2 years with mixed results. Since weeds are typically not as big of a problem in zoysia lawns to begin with, this product has predictably done very well when it comes to weed & crabgrass prevention. Almost zero weeds or even crabgrass even though I'm surrounded by untreated neighboring lawns. However, my results as far as green-up & growth promotion & overall health of my lawn have been poor. Lawn has been ravaged by dollar spot/brown patch in each of the last 2 seasons. With such a short growing season, the dead spots don't have much time to regenerate before time's up on the growing season. Last year, after a liquid fungicide stopped the problem, there was only time for about 1/2 of the damage to recover. To tell the truth, I regret ever going with zoysia grass to begin with (now about 10 years ago) It was billed as low maintenance & has proven to be anything but that. Now, faced with the nightmare scenario of removing it with it's ridiculous root system, that's just not an option for a 68 YO man.

I don't know if I received a defective batch or not but, it only worked in spots and seemed to only kill dandelions and sadly, not all of them. I applied the product to my yard, following the directions to the letter. From mowing my lawn first, to using my spreader and spreading around the perimeter of my yard and then spreading in a grid pattern across the yard. I planned it spreading it when there was no rain for the next 2 days. There were no windy conditions. The temperatures have been in the 60s and 70s. And having used Scott's for the past couple of years, also following directions to the letter and having complete success, I'm no amateur at using these products. However, the results of using this bag were absolutely disappointing. A week after application and the only weeds killed have been some of the dandelions. And it's certainly not preventing anything because there are new dandelions popping up next to dead ones. As far as the other weeds around the dandelions, they are thriving and not bothered at all. So the end result has been that I have wasted money and my time using this product. Now, I will have to spend more money and purchase some turf builder and spend more time spreading it. And as for getting a refund, it seems it would be easier to get a new kidney. I definitely don't recommend this product unless you have the money and time to gamble with. Who knows you may get a bag that works and actually kills your weeds?

Love them. Work great.there was no warranty information for me to submit. No indication who sent them to me. I could use some help in that department.

I have two large lawns that I irrigate. Each Spring, I get quite a bit of dandelion throughout my lawns and later in the summer, the crab grass and clover start to take effect. I have the clover under control for several years, but this pre-emergent worked really well this Spring in the dandelions. Ill update later with fall results.
