Line of poor quality. Experienced several line breaks for little reason. Last break occurred while simply reeling line in as boat was trolling. Respooled all reel with this line and discovered I was able to snap line with bare hands and little force. Obviously defective product.

I've used this stuff for years and never had a bit of trouble out of it, especially at the price, there is better line out there, but when comparing cost, this is about the best value and product usually. This particular roll I ordered for one reason or another has been garbage, I do not know if it was old stock that set in the sun or went through a lot of heat cycles, or what caused it, but it looked brand new and had no issues visible. I spooled it up a few days after I bought it and i thought I tied my knot wrong the first couple times, but it didn't take me long into the trip, to figure out this roll was no good, I pulled it off the reel and respooled thinking it was maybe something got into the top layer somehow, that was not the case and it was unpredictable where it would break, it wasn't always at the knot, sometimes it was 2 or 3 foot away from it, had it break away at the spool, ive honestly had old line that I haven't responded for a few seasons that wasn't as bad as what this was, so I don't know what was up with it. Again I've always liked this line, I use it in other weight ratings and have even used the 6lb other times in the past, but for whatever reason this particular roll wasn't any good. I do strongly recommend this line in most cases.

Good knot strength and abrasion resistance for monofilament. Switched back from using flouro leaders and havent noticed a difference in number of bites. Plus, its so much cheaper without having to deal with special flouro knots.
