Review: Tripled in price over the years, but still one of the best basic sheet masks I’ve used - These are great hydrating sheet masks. I’ve used My Beauty Diary for several years now, although I am very disappointed that they have nearly tripled in price over the time I’ve been using them. The masks themselves are very well saturated, and there is usually a good amount of extra serum left in the pouch that I like to pat into my neck and chest after applying the mask. After use, my skin always feels very hydrated and soft, which is really what I reach for sheet masks for in the first place. They sit comfortably on the skin and feel cooling without being overly heavy or sticky, and they’ve been consistent across the different ones I’ve tried in this line. Looking at the ingredient list, it is very much a hydration focused formula with a strong base of humectants like glycerin, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, sodium PCA, and sodium hyaluronate. There are also a number of soothing and antioxidant type extracts like aloe, green tea, ginkgo, licorice root, and various fruit and botanical extracts. On top of that, there are a few skin brightening and conditioning ingredients like arbutin, hydrolyzed yeast protein, and hydrolyzed pearl, although in a sheet mask format these are usually more about supportive short term effects rather than dramatic long term changes. Overall it reads like a classic, well rounded hydrating mask formula that focuses on moisture and temporary skin refresh. Price at time of review: $23.99, on sale for $16.79
