A stethoscope is basically just a defence that conducts sound through tubes from inside aabn object to the listener by means of air sealed in tubes. The diagnostic ability is with the user in most case. HOWEVER after saying that one does have to ask if your using it for any special medical purpose other than to listen to breath sounds, basic heart sounds, inter abdominal functioning, blood pressure. Just as there are some special things you would want a stethoscope to have if are a cardiologist and need a stethoscope to give you better sounds and picking up high and low frequencies, or if working with pregnant women and need one that is more sensitive for inter- abdominal listening there are some specialty needs that vet processes have of some that are made a bit differently. It took 11 days for the product to get delivered. The box condition and all the paperworks are nicely done. Coming to the stethoscope It's very beautiful but the white tube attracts dirt very easily The product which i recived was having minor ball pen marks with it. I tried to remove them with acetone, sanitizer but that didn't worked for me. Coming to the acoustics it's average. One of my friend got microtone stetho which is comparable to this one. Also i compared with littmann classic 3 but is no where close to it sound in littmann is very much clear than this one.Also i compared with a new model elko the sound in elko is very much amplified.If you are a med student then I'll suggest you to either go with microtone or go for littmann. It's not worth buying anything in between them.Also last one thing is that this stethoscope very much lighter.
