Pelican Air 1535 Case With TrekPak Dividers (Black)

I am in love with thise case and the ingenious divider system. I wanted a case for my camera equipment to take traveling and to photo shoots, this case is strong, lightweight, easy to either carry or roll with the collapsing handle and wheels, and it has room to store several lenses and camera bodies. Obviously it is not for hiking in the woods, I have a smaller backpack for my gear for such occasions, but this is great and flexible. I was a little skittish at first about the divider system but the provided cutter and easy instructions to create compartments that are strong and neat to store gear. I bought another larger case for the back of my SUV. It locks with padlocks, not supplied, if you wish.

UPDATE: Have just completed my first international trip (Argentina) with this case and could not be happier. Five days worth of gear fit with room to spare. The case rolls effortlessly, is rock solid and worth every penny I've spent on it. I did get the lid organizer, which helps for those of us with packing OCD. Will likely buy the next larger size for trips that require a check-in bag. Fantastic case! Haven't traveled with this case yet, but must say that out of the box I am extremely impressed. A solid, high-quality case that weighs next to nothing. Looking forward to my next international trip so I can put this bad boy through it's paces.

I use this pelican air case for my wedding photography days. I have used a backpack for so long and it really started to hurt my back. This is so easy with the wheels to wheel around. I love it for safety that I can lock it up if I need to travel and that I can organize all of my equipment so it’s easy to grab, and so functional!

Coming from the 1510 I love this upgrade! Divider is nice, easy to setup, and gave me lots of options to keep my gear snug and protected. Fits my full frame D750 and my big f2.8 lenses and then some... Easy to adjust Pros: - lighter (obvious but it really is a big difference) - still feels sturdy Cons: - miss the old carrying handle on top (saves a few more ounces I guess)

I have been looking for a case for my Fujinon lenses. I normally only have 2-3 lenses with me when I use my X-Pro2, so I needed a bag for the lenses I don’t have in my PeakDesign sling bag. And I also needed a bag I could use during travel with plane etc. And I must say it fits perfect to my needs, and its light to other hard cases I have looked at. The bag hold a ton of equipment. In my I have: X-Pro2, EF-X500, Filters, battery, Samyang 8mm, Zeiss 32 Touit, and the following Fujinon lenses XF14, XF16, XF23, XF27, XF35, XF56, XF90. And after all this is loaded I still have some spare space. In the picture there is also a X-T2 with battery grip (not on camera).

When I opened my photography business, one of my first purchases was this case. It ended up being rolling camera bag that goes everywhere with me. I can attest to it being 100% waterproof and thank goodness it is. As a pro sports photographer, my gear gets put through the test and are subjected to all conditions imaginable. This Peli case may have some scuffs and scratches but I still have full confidence it will keep my cameras and lenses protected and organized. If anything could be improved I wish it had larger wheels that makes it easier to roll over rougher surfaces. Otherwise this is a wise investment.

Great case and the divider system is simply amazing. Very robust with heavy duty metal link pins to connect the dividers. Can fit more in it than my old Tamrac rolling case and still weighs in lighter. Even comes with cutter that slides into the cores of the divider system to insure clean straight cuts to accurately measure and arrange case. Absolutely perfect in pretty much every way

The Internal Dimensions listed are for the BARE case. The Padded Dividers take up a LOT of space, as does the foam in the lid. The padded dividers are attached to a "tub" of foam which is colored black on the top edge, so I did not notice it in the pictures. The sides of the tub are 7/8" thick, so the actual internal dimensions are 19 by 10. The internal padded dividers are 5/8" thick, so take away another 1.25" each direction when two dividers are installed each way as in the pictures. The depth of the case is much harder to describe, because it varies by location. For reference, the padded dividers are only 4.5" tall and can only be used for items of that height away from the corners as shown in the pictures. There are large protrusions into the case by the two wheel mounts and the space for the extendable handle on the end. All edges of the case are rounded for strength, but that also reduces usable depth along the inside edges. Suffice to say the only place in the case that is the claimed 7.2" deep is in the center of the case, with all foam and dividers removed. The uncompressed thickness of the foam in the lid is 2" but it should compress about 1/2". Therefore useable depth with all foam installed is only about 5" and then only away from the edges. I had planned to carry three telephoto lenses and a camera body in this case. I measured all my equipment before ordering the case. My largest lens is a 500mm f4 with a hood diameter of 6.25". I could not come close to closing the lid with that lens in it. The case is very high quality, so it is a shame to give it a low rating, but the internal dimensions are significantly less than advertised, and made it unusable for me.

Great case. Confirmed correct carry on size for many Canadian airlines. No issues travelling thus far. Lots of compliments - even a pilot asked me where I got mine!

I have never seen a Pelican case I did not like. This case is top quality and with the removable padded dividers can be configured for so many uses.
