Comes in handy
This is for those random projects when you need that one nut or bolt or you are forced to make unwanted alterations to make things fit right. There are many styles of sets but I liked this one since I really can't lose any parts and the opposing nut or bolt is on the same slug of metal

Works to check metric and SAE screw sizes.
This has gauges to check male and female SAE and metric thread sizes. It is awkward to use this as the gauges are fastened on a cable and do not turn independently. The sizing labels are faint, hard to read, and may wear off with continued use. Nonetheless, I use mine and they seem accurate and very helpful as I bounce around with SAE, metric, and various thread count projects. Clumsy but good to use sorting screws.

Removes the guess-work from the equation
I am a hardware hoarder when it comes to screws, bolts, and nuts. When I am doing assembly work, I will go through my stash before heading out to a hardware store. Currently, my stashes of hardware are everything in a big coffee can. When I am looking for a particular size machine screw or nut, I don't know if it is imperial or metric unless I can compare it to a known size. That is where this comprehensive set of known sizes comes in handy. I've only had to use it a few times, but it did not disappoint, and saved me some time.

this is great it’s really perfect for finding out sizing and thread of screws. I’m not sure how I can make it better or more compact but it’s slightly inconvenient by the length but at the same time it’s what’s needed so suck it up buy it find some place to store it.

I should have bought this sooner!!
I really like it!! It saves me a ton of time and guess work! I should have bought it sooner!!It’s hard to say how many tim s I’ve had to go to the hardware store to determine the exact size, pitch, length, SAE or Metric. Now I can take those decisions in less than 5 minutes. Now I can see what I have on hand. If I don’t have them I can run out and get what I need or order the bolts I need on Amazon if I have the time to wait. I just love this tool. Worth every penny!
