Gooby Fleece Vest Dog Sweater, Lavender, Large | Soft warm fleece; Pullover, easy on/off (no zippers); O-ring leash attachment; Machine washable

The large fits my 19 lb daschund like a glove. I got the XL for my 26 lb daschund but I needed to make a few alterations. I always have to tailor their clothes because of their unique build with short legs. Any other dog of the same proportions, not including height, would fit into an XL perfectly fine, without needing alterations. These are perfect underneath a coat in the winter. The fleece is soft and warm and they're made very well. I've had no problems laundering them in the washing machine and the dryer in both, hot and cold cycles, without any problems. The colors are still as vibrant as the day they were purchased. This is a good quality product. My pups are asleep at the moment but I'll update this review with pictures when they're wearing the vests. The colors in the picture are lime green, blue and turquoise in the large size. I also have these in purple and fuscia, both XL, and they're all adorable. You won't regret buying these for your furry best friend. Update: April 9, 2017 As promised, I'm uploading pictures of my 19 lb weiner wearing the turquoise in a large and my 26 lb weiner wearing the purple in an XL. The purple has a pastel-lime green collar tab with a silver o-ring to connect the leash. Please excuse the smudge on the turquoise fleece. We just got home from a walk and sometimes we get messy ;) Regarding the XL fuscia fleece, I'll upload pics at a later date. The quality is up to par with the others. Unless the wrong color was shipped by mistake, the color is definitely not fuscia. It's more of a burgundy or maroon color. It's definitely not fuscia. I'm actually glad that it's not fuscia because, heaven knows, I have enough pink clothes for Lily. *I've had the purple for over a year now and it looks just as nice as the day the I bought it. I wash and dry these with the rest of the laundry and they hold up better than some of my fleece pullovers.

This vest is just excellent. I ordered this sweater in a size Large in the navy color. It fits my doggie well (when sized correctly), no parts flap up, it’s soft, it washes well, and the quality is top notch. Sizing: it’s worth measuring your puppaloo to get the right size. You want your pup to be comfortable. I ordered the medium first and it juuuust fit, but when I thought about it, a snug sweater is no good when you’re panting and heaving after a good romp. So I exchanged it for the large and bam: perfect fit! This sweater is very streamlined. Unlike with other sweaters that have problems with parts riding up, or flapping up like seal flippers, this sweater wears flat. Makes your doggo very handsome. The fabric is soft and washes well. I haven’t noticed any pilling, though I don’t dry this sweater in the dryer, I air dry instead. This creates longevity in the sweater, enhancing long-term doggo handsomeness. Finally, the construction is good. The stitches are doubly enforced and even. A strong sweater for a strong dog. Overall, I’m very happy with this dog sweater! UPDATE: Bought another sweater for doggo, this time in spring teal. Sewed reflective racing stripes onto the sweater for super visible night time handsomeness. Doggo is now extra shiny in the dark. UPDATE AGAIN: Can this handsome sweater possibly be applied to handsome cats? The answer: yes. And what happens to the handsomeness of the cat when the sweater is applied? Handsomeness factor: EXPONENTIALLY INCREASED. Look my cat is a handsome boy. He just happens to look even more dapper when he’s wearing his Honey Mustard sweater. It matches his eyes. Additionally, this sweater happens to have a welcome calming effect on my cat. My boy is very shy around new people and also he can get a little too amped up sometimes when playing with his baby sister, the kitten. Both of these circumstances are effectively addressed by wearing the sweater, which acts like a thundershirt (for a much better price!). So not only has this Gooby sweater been a great addition to my cat’s wardrobe, it’s also been a huge help for him socially.

Good quality and my dog seems to feel comfortable in it and doesn’t get her feet stuck like the kind with the leg holes. However, it does run extremely small. Ordered an Xs for my 4 pound Chihuahua and it’s really tight on her.

These are good quality, and the size small fit my little 6 pound senior chihuahua perfectly. She has lost some weight in her old age and every other sweater falls off of her. I was thrilled to have found something nice that works for her! She has some doggy dementia and these seem to have a calming effect on her, similar to a thunder jacket, since they gently hug her body. This is the second one I have purchased for her so I can wash and rotate them. They wash and dry well, which is important to me. I bought a medium for my 11 pound chihuahua, who is a little more chonky, because the small was too tight for her. She normally wears a small, but I couldn't get the small on her. The medium is a little long, but not overly so. I'm keeping it because at least these stay on. I would say they run a little tighter than average, so perfect for a thinner dog, but order up a size if your dog is not thin. I would love one in another color for my other 11 pound male chihuahua now!

The sizing doesn’t work for my pugs. The chart said she needed XL based on her chest measurement but as you can see it’s way too long. The armholes are huge and it’s really too big around the neck too; it keeps sliding down to her shoulders. I had high hopes for this because I’d read that this brand was good for broad chested dogs. It seems like a nice vest and I like the leash hook but it just doesn’t work for us.

This is our 12 lb chi-terrier mix's second fall and winter with her fleece, with no problems to report. As opposed to our last dog who didn't like wearing anything no matter how cold it was, our chi-terrier seems to like wearing cozy things when it's chilly, and she really likes this fleece. It's a slip on, which like zippers and velcro can have pros and cons. I bought this fleece just a tad large and it's easy to slip out without being TOO loose. It also depends on whether the dog minds wearing things or not. Our chi doesn't fight it, in fact she "helps" by putting her head in the neck hole and lifting her paws up to step through the leg holes. If your dog isn't as cooperative or if you buy one that isn't a little loose it could be a problem slipping it on. This is a lightweight, unlined fleece, good for cool weather or wearing around the house. We live in the SW so our winters are mild, but it does get chilly (40s, 50s) after sunset. This fleece is good for those temps plus she likes wearing it around the house in the winter and sleeping in it. It's kind of like a comfy housecoat. It goes all the way to the base of her tail, which is good when it's cooler. If it's not as cool, I fold it under so it covers only her front half. At the other extreme, for more serious Midwestern winter cold like where we used to live, I think something heavier, maybe quilted, would be better for outdoors but would probably be too heavy for indoors. The other thing I like about this fleece is the sewn-in "D" ring for clipping a leash. Since she wears the fleece indoors and out in the winter it's nice to not have to wear a harness underneath it. She's only 12 pounds, very well behaved on a leash, and doesn't pull hard, so the sewn-in leash is sufficient for walks. For a bigger, more exuberant dog, the D ring would probably not be enough and a harness or leash would have to be worn with it.

Great fitting warm fleece vest which our 18 pound dog loves. I am very happy with this purchase. I bought it in gray and it was snuggly warm for our dog all winter and it held up beautifully. No loose stitches and it went through the was well too. Great product for your dog!

This fits my five-pound chihuahua great, but I just wish it was a tad simpler to get on and off. Because it slips on, it is definitely more secure than something that attaches with a zipper or velcro, but it is a bit tight getting it on and off. But he's gotten used to it and I've gotten better at putting it on him. I like that it is all one piece and soft because he seems like he is really comfortable in it. And since he has so little fur and we live in Colorado, he needs some warmth when we are actually able to go outside. The D ring on the top appears to be fastened very securely, which is important because I occasionally have to lift him up by it to get him out of a bad situation quickly, like when a big dog comes out of nowhere and goes after him. I've been using this for a couple of months now and it has help up well and washes great. One thing to be sure to do is measure your dog before buying this. My dog is only five pounds and I'm so used to ordering XS in everything that I nearly did that with this. But after measuring him, it turned out that he needed the small. Once it's on, it fits him perfectly. And it's really cute. I got him the aqua blue color and he gets compliments all the time. Overall, this is a great dog vest and I will probably order more in the future. I'll update my review if anything changes, but this feels like it will last awhile. UPDATE: It's still in good condition, but it's starting to rip where the product tag is on the side. I can sew it up easily enough, but it shouldn't be ripping this soon.

Nice fleece for cool weather. Was fine in the washing machine too. Silky terrier dogs took size “Large” which seemed surprising at the time but it fits them well.

I ordered based on the length described. Could barely get my dog's head through the hole, let alone trying to get her legs in there. Way too small. Would need at least two sizes bigger than the description.

Too small for size and cheap quality

Due to her length, it’s incredibly hard to find sweaters that fit my chiweenie without being too big everywhere else; thankfully, these fleece sweaters fit her perfectly. For reference, she is approx. 7lbs. and very skinny. I had no issues getting them on her and so far they haven’t slipped off (she likes to burrow under the covers to sleep). The fleece is good quality (great for layering with a winter coat in cold weather) and the leather detail for the leash attachment is a nice touch - literally, as it is very soft (hoping her brother doesn’t chew it off). 100% recommend. I’ve purchased two and will purchase more in the future.
