Intermatic2T2502GA Pool/Spa Plastic Enclosure Timer, Color

Amazing!!! Can I say it again? AMAZING !!! I bought this plastic enclosure for our swimming pool timer 17 years after the original one was installed on the new house. Nothing wrong with the timer but the enclosure door was damaged over the years at the hinges and finally gave out last month whereby it no longer stays closed. The "amazing" thing is after all these years without specific drawings or dimensional prints, the new one fits perfectly. Thank you Intermatic and Thank you Amazon. Took a gamble but they came through. No one else would sell the enclosure without the whole unit at over $100.00. Maybe at an electrical distributor, but that would require a lot of searching and leg-work, and certainly a lot more than the $28.00 I paid (including shipping with two day delivery). BTW, this was very important since the rainy season has started here and the storms are back with high winds which would definitely blow off the door and short out the timer. This item fits perfectly, including the lock mechanism and waterproof seal. I'd rate it an extra star if I could ...

This was an exact replacement for my previous timer enclosure. The last one broke one day when closing the door. I was initially going to only use the door off of the new one, however, once I began to put the new door on, I realized in exactly how poor of condition the old one was. I ended up replacing the whole enclosure, which took about 20 minutes. Make sure you mark your wires with the location they go in the timer and a picture is highly recommended. Would definitely purchase again.

This box was an exact duplicate of the box I was replacing. HOWEVER, like most folks, all I really needed was the door. Rather then re-wire, I simply popped the door off the new box and put it on the old. It is a shame that you have to pay this much and buy an entire box for a replacement part but that is what it is. As you can see from the photo, the new door swaps perfectly.

This is a great replacement for the outdoor metal enclosures that rust out in a couple of years. I hope this one will last a lot longer. The only problem I had was getting the knockouts removed. I thought I was going to crack the box trying to hammer out the knockout. I never could break out the outer ring for the larger conduit and instead, had to use a conduit punch to prevent breaking the box.

Liked it just fine, couldn’t find the door only so I had to buy the whole thing. My doors hinge clips broke off due to the sun and salt air. I just needed the door which fit perfectly.
