Every year, I take the battery out for the winter. I always smear vaseline on the terminals to keep them corrosion clean throughout the summer months. Now I put these felt pads over the terminals first. I put the battery cables on, and then I smear on the Vaseline. Using these pads, now my job is a lot cleaner to do in the fall. Once the cables are off, I pull up on the pads, and most of the Vaseline comes off with them.
