Originally, I had bought regular flashing tape from Home Depot, but I could tell it wasn't going to stay sealed for long. I grew frustrated because it should've been simple and easy, and yet was becoming a problem. So I ordered this Zip tape (sadly, no stores carry it in my small town) and it worked beautifully. It easily stretched around the corners of the window opening and then adhered to the uneven siding seamlessly. Given the resiliency and adhesion of this tape, I feel confident it will keep the area waterproofed through many winters. This product is well worth the price and I can't recommend it enough!

**Q: Will this tape stick to plain plywood not painted?**
A: Yes.  ZIP System™ tape is compatible with dimensional lumber. (treated and untreated), OSB, plywood, house-wraps, PVC, vinyl and metal substrates.

**Q: The description says 20 feet. a review mentions there is only 15 feet worth of product. i need 18.8 inch. can someone confirm 20 ft before i purchase?**
A: The roll is 20 feet in length

**Q: Would this be effective to make last minute temporary seals around doors, windows and sliders to prevent water intrusion during a storm surge of 5 ft?**
A: Great question.  Although ZIP System tape has great adhesion and moisture protection, this has not been tested in marine or nautical application and it would be difficult to answer your question.

**Q: Will this size work for work for window flashing in 2x4 walls?**
A: Yes. I typically use the stretch tape to make a sill pan and run it up the sides of the rough opening about 6”. After the window is in I flash the sides then the top with regular butyl tape. You could use the stretch tape for that too but its a waste of $$ in my opinion.
