It is made by hand, so it is very unique. I have to admit, it is larger than I was expecting it to be. It is twenty inches tall - an interesting height to be creative with. It is made of mango wood, which is a sustainable wood. This is a good thing. Each one is hand made, so they are all unique, one of a kind pieces. They are so beautiful.This vase is water resistant, but I don't know if I will put water init. I could see using cattails in the fall, or maybe pussy willows in the Spring. I Iove that it's handmade! It's pretty tall so if you plan to use it for fake flowers I suggest slim long stemmed or those branches. I've had some peices of bark (on the bottom and top, the rest is smooth) break off but nothing messy or annoying. Just a couple peices.
