ARCTIC FOX Semi-Permanent Dye Sterling - Vegan Cruelty-Free - 4 fl oz

This is the toner you have been looking for! I know it's not a toner. But use it as one! I had a level 4 "shadow root", ombre into level 8 lengths for almost a year. Quarantine made me bleach out my level 4, 4-inch roots and so began my adventure. Once a week for 4 weeks I was trying a new concoction to rid my nasty brassy roots with minimal damage. Nothing worked. I eventually bleached AGAIN, got super yellow roots, with ash lengths, and All the ash toners, and ash blonde level 10, then 9, then 8 did not work. I ended up with brassy roots, and literally gray lengths. After toning the gray lengths and fixing that, I just could not make this beast all one color (or even as close as possible to one color). The brassy/red roots were strong and did not want to go anywhere! Enter Arctic Fox Sterling! The first patch test of 5 minutes did nothing. 3 days later I did a patch test of 15 minutes, and that made all the difference! Mixed a ratio 1:1 of sterling and conditioner, and applied to my 4inch roots, left on for 15 minutes, and rinsed. This has been the only successful color used as a toner in the last 6 weeks! And I have tried t14, t10, level 10ash demi, level 9ash permanent, level 8ash demi, level 8 ash permanent. I bleached in between those colors. It just would not get right. This will at least save me a few weeks of normal natural color hair before I have to touch up my roots. I'm so happy!

I love this brand. The cooors work amazing and are so beautiful and vibrant. This color on the other hand did not work on my bleached hair. It has more green tent to it then anything. Not happy with the 22$ I spent this time.

I was worried that I would have to strip my hair down to lightest possible shade of blonde for this to work, but I tried a small test area & was happily surprised by the beautiful results. I love this stuff: delivers the shade it promises..!!

Smells great, easy to use, hair feels conditioned. I left it on for 30 mins, as stated on the product, my ends are still brassy. Overall, nice product, I would use again.

The initial color was nice on my lightened hair however, only lasted 3 shampoos and turned pale green and streaky. It is summer and I avoided the pool all together for fear of quicker fading or turning, but did not expect this after 3 washes. I do use a pretty high end shampoo and conditioner (Matrix Food for Soft) so I don't think that was the issue. For darker or more fun shades, I would recommend, but not for the Silvery color I was trying to achieve.

I am so impressed by, and in love with, this hair color! There is no smell, no itch, and no staining. I bought it because it is cruelty-free, vegan, and because the company supports animal causes, but the product is also just amazing. I have very light silver hair and just to try it out I used Sterling, and it gave my hair a beautiful rich darker silver color that I love. Plus the conditioning effect is real. Going to start experimenting with colors next. Really excited to find this hair color.

This sterling color is the perfect color if you were transitioning to grow out your silver locks. It fades out gradually no lines - you keep adding color on your ends to blend with your roots. I also mixed a little bit of Purple AF and sometimes do some purple highlights if you will. Purple AF and the sterling goes so well together and on top of this being a great temporary hair color it’s also super conditioning to your hair and I love that it’s vegan as well. I get stopped all the time and people asking me what do I use. I mix a little conditioner in with the Sterling as it’s slightly darker than my silver color. I add just a pencil eraser amount of Purple AF for added dimension. Then sometimes I create some purple strands underneath and it turns out beautiful.

Never again would I use this product, even if someone gave it to me for free. For sure I would not purchase it again. I mistakenly did twice in a row while going for a smokey violet which I combined with Manic Panic Ultraviolet. I have naturally dark brown hair and lightened my own hair double process, which we're all aware takes much effort and patience for the desired very light blonde level suitable for fun pastel, unnatural color dyes. Thought I'd give this a try in combination with another demi permanent dye for a unique look. It looked truly lovely and the resulting smoky purple was achieved instantly BUT it severely diminished after JUST ONE WASH. It completely went green in all the lighter places after the 2nd wash. Truly disappointing. I tried to upkeep it by warming up/neutralizing the violet with pink (pink + "sterling" green would cancel each other out on the color wheel). Worked only briefly because pinks don't last very long. And again, the "sterling effect" washes out after 1-2 shampoos. I use only sulfate-free shampoos, all natural (Jason, Giovanni, Pure Life Co., etc.). 1-star for the color achieved, 1-star for the supposed vegan-friendly quality. Personally, I don't like the artificial grape scent staying in my hair for the entire duration this product is in my hair - unfortunately for weeks it clings to hair even throughout numerous washes with much better scented shampoo/conditioners!! :(

Se vi viene fuori il verde vuol dire che avete sbagliato qualcosa. Se avete una base molto cenere ovviamente vi viene fuori il verde. Se lo fate nel giusto modo e avete una base argento o bianca verrà un bellissimo grigio che può andare un po' sul rosino o azzurro (sempre a seconda di cosa si ha sotto). Davvero consigliato

Ich blondiere meine Haare schon seit vielen Jahren, und ich konnte das Gelbblond, was dabei meistens heraus kommt nicht mehr sehen. Rot oder dunkel kam aber auch nicht in Frage, daher wollte ich etwas in Pastell machen. Zuvor hatte ich Elumen probiert, aber das war mir zu kompliziert mit Vorbehandlung, Nachbehandlung und der ganzen Mischerei, bis man endlich den richtigen Ton hatte. Noch dazu hatte ich das Problem, dass der frisch blondierte Ansatz die Farbe nie annahm, egal wie ich vorbehandelt habe. Das Problem habe ich mit den Farben von Arctic Fox nicht. Ich habe auch noch die Girls Night dazu gekauft. Manchmal färbe ich nur Girls Night, dann habe ich einen leichten Lila-Ton, oder ich mische das mit Sterling, dann habe ich einen richtig tollen hellen Lilaton, absolut super. Die Farbe übertönt immer den Gelbstich im Haar, und sie deckt perfekt, auch am Ansatz, und das mit nur einmal auftragen. Die teure Elumen-Variante hat auch nicht länger gehalten als Arctic Fox. Zudem wäscht sie sich sehr schön aus, es sieht nicht fleckig aus, wie dies bei anderen halb-permanenten Haarfarben schnell passieren kann. Noch dazu riecht die Farbe umwerfend gut, lässt sich prima auftragen, und die Haare fühlen sich keinesfalls geschädigt an. Diese beiden Haarfarben sind genau die, die ich jetzt die nächsten Monate tragen werden, weil sie einfach toll aussehen. Vielleicht probiere ich auch einmal Sterling alleine. Ist ja kein Problem, sie lassen sich ja ganz einfach wieder auswaschen. Für mich die perfekte Haarfarbe.

I cannot buy this silver colour off of the Sally’s website herd in Canada which is not right so I order it here . Love the smell and the silver colour which you can use the Artic Fox diluted if needed. I use Artic Fox cause it’s more gentle on you’d hair and perfect for me when I do my own custom colour and also do my bleach

It's a nice colour with a hint of blue. It did cover my brassy hair but didn't last long.

Non so se sia il top del mercato al momento, ma fa il suo dovere. Non irrita, anche se ho la pelle molto sensibile, non ha odori strani. Facile da applicare e molto colorato, anche se prima consiglio una decolorazione, altrimenti sui capelli scuri non prende bene.
