Do you take off before using each time?

Actually it is recommended to use a coat every day for about a week; then remove and reapply. All I know is that it works and use it as a base coat, any color on top of that. It has no formaldehyde in it. It never turns your nails yellow underneath. I've used it for more than a couple of years now and my nails are strong and pretty. Hope this helps.
