Saved time and trouble in a tight spot
I hadn't tried these fittings before, but they worked great. Easy to install between copper and pex. No solder or leaks.

Follow the instructions and they work great
The thing you need to remember with these is that you have to prepare the pipe for the shark bite. I used these for PEX-B and copper on either side of a spin down pre-filter. The FNPT part works the way they always do. I am paranoid so I used tape and joint compound. It is necessary to de-bur the pipe for the SharkBite end, or you can damage the O-ring inside the connecter. For the PEX side I understand that if you twist it as you push it in the inner sleeve will find its way into the pipe to support it. I didn't have the feel for this and damaged the first one I tried because it hung up on the PEX. So I took the one out of the copper end and stuck it in the PEX before pushing it into the connector. No more issue. I didn't have this issue with half inch ShrkBite connectors.63 crimps, 10 shark bites, 10 NTP connections and not one leak. There was a suggestion of moisture on the two NTP pressure gauge connections, so I gave them another complete turn and they dried out. Not sure if it was just that the joint compound was shiny.

Working great
Just what I needed after I broke an outdoor faucet off a concrete wall. Water gushed everywhere, and I thought I would have to at least destroy the cinder block, or possibly remove the opposite indoor bathtub to access the back side. After a little work to dress up the end of the supply line, this baby attached securely without needing to make a big hole or solder unreachable pipe joints. Wonderful!

Great product, Great price = Great investment!
This SharkbBite connections piece is a quick way to making a good connection. I did the work even with a pipe that had some water water running. Cheap item, and does the job right. This piece will allow you to connect and will last for years to come. I have used these in projects at home. And yes, for those of you wondering, this piece has a female thread on the inside. I provided images of the product to show.Pros:-Durable-Easy to install-Can be connected if some / to little water is running-Cheap!Ps: I used joint thread compound to secure fit. You may want to consider using something to seal that part.

Important to note that it has threads inside
Important to note that it has threads inside. For our use, it was critical that there were "no threads".

Manufacturer changed something
The item I received did not match the item in the picture.. I already had one shark bite item that matched the picture and thats why I ordered from this seller, based on the picture and item description. Something has changed between the two items, something to do with the female threads. The item I received would not accept the male to female connector that came with my new bath sink tap faucet set. I went to home depot and purchased a connector that was identical to the one I received. It also would not accept the male to female connector. When I went back to the store, we tried an additional 5 sharkbite connectors and none would accept the male to female. The plumbing guy was as baffled as I was.So it appears that a change has occurred to the threads to the sharkbite item I needed and not necesarily the fault of this seller. The existing sharkbite that I had (only one) accepted the male to female connector without issue.
