Really, Really Like This Album...
I found it one day while I was listening to the music channel "Soundscapes" on my DVR.I like to play that or the UV Show Channel while I'm reading my Kindle as the music is generally New Age instrumental and doesn't interfere much with my reading.Anyway, when the song "Edge Walkers" came on I had to put my Kindle down and listen, it was just that melodic. Then I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled the album up on Amazon and found the whole thing was pretty awesome."O Re Piya" is also one of my fav's as well. I haven't a clue what the lady is saying, but I found it stirring regardless.P.S. My birds like the album also! When I play it for them they just sit quietly on their perch and don't utter a peep! :)I guess music really does transcend all barriers...

A Candidate For Favorite CD
This is definitely a must-buy for listeners in general. From the opening track, "Kuimba", with its driving percussion and song sung in Swahili, through the rest of the album--with exuberant vocals and harmonies from the children of the world--this is one of the best listening experiences ever. Who cares if you don't understand the languages? (Some of the words are made-up 'vocalese' anyway.) Sit back and enjoy highly different melodies, catchy beats, excellent arrangements, and really good music overall. Special thanks to the talented artists behind this and other AO products.

I hope folks that really like this cd don't take this too personally but beauty is after all "in the eye or in this case ear of the beholder" This was my first encounter with aomusic and I feel Miriam Stockley eclipses the music itself. Don't get wrong ,she's very good but in my opinion it's too much of a good thing. A little less of her would have made this cd fantastic. If you really like Miriam Stockley you'll like this cd. If you're not familiar with her vocal style download one track from this cd and see how you like it. If you want to listen to samples go to iTunes, they give 1:30 minute samples rather than just 30 seconds
