What is the warranty / life expectancy of this product?

Hello, the product has a 10 year warranty. As for life expectancy, the heater has no moving parts to wear or fail, so unless it is damaged by outside causes it should last the life of the floor / building.

I have 270 sq ft floor, can I connect/combine more than one of these? Use same thermostat? 110 or 220 line?

Hello, the max load on a 110/120v thermostat is 1800watts which is 150sqft of heating. The max load on a 220/240 thermostat is 3600watts which is 300sqft of heating. If you need to cover 270sqft, I would recommend the 220/240 range as you can connect multiple mats up to a combined 300sqft (3600watts). LuxHeat mats can be bought as complete kits, or mats only. Trust this helps.

Can I use a rug on the tile I've installed over this system?

Hello, according to manufacturers instructions, the maximum combined R-value (thermal resistance) permitted above a heater is (R1). To give some idea of R-values I have included two examples: Ceramic Tiles R 0.028, Cement Mortar R 0.20. Therefore tiles + cement mortar = R 0.23 and you allowed a value of R 1.00.
