Good Book.
This is a great IT study book. Easy to understand concepts with lots of study aids and outside sources you can visit online.

One of the best security books I've read!
I needed to review CASP related material for a project I was working on. I used various books for this purpose including this one. I found this book to be the best source of information of any. It is well written and thorough. Highly recommend it!

New?
Bought this "new", but the assessment and review questions have writing all over them.

Shallow, and proofreading needed
I bought this book because I used the same series for the cissp exam. It was good for the other exam. But this book is a big disappointment. Practice tests have clearly been rewritten and they forgot to finish their rewriting. So the practice tests are not very useful. And sometimes the practice tests ask about things that are not even covered in the book.As for the content of the book itself, it covers a lot of ground. But it barely touches on any of it. Basically just telling you that things exist, without telling you anything about how to work with them or what you really need to know for the exam. And with many typos included, and several instances of literal copy-paste from other chapters. Lots of fluff writing :-(If you are looking for a comprehensive book on this topic, unfortunately this one is not it. Feels like they pushed it to press just to get a book out there and make money before other people got their books ready. I regret my purchase.

Doesn’t help with the test.
The book is good and has a lot of information but the questions and practice tests and nothing like Cert questions.

Contains wrong and misleading information
My job requires CASP, and I got this to refresh in order to take the test to re-certify CASP. I have found multiple statements in the book that are either incredibly misleading or completely wrong. As an example, they refer to ECDH (A key exchange algorithm) as a hashing algorithm, as well as SkipJack (a block cipher).
