Review: Great for normal use and as a leader - I have used flourokote line in a couple different weights and have been very happy. Castability is great. I've put this stuff on several baitcasters and had no issues with backlash or knotting. The memory is fairly low for a flourocarbon line. I use a lot of braided line to and this is my go to leader for those applications. Great abrasion resistance and damn near invisible underwater making it great as a leader when fishing spinners and diving lures
Review: A Leader Spool or What? - Going to go with 3 stars for this line (benefit of the doubt) until I know more. Product was delivered three days ago and upon opening, I was shocked at seemingly how little line was on the clear plastic spool inside the box. My best guess is that there’s maybe 100 to 150 yards of line but this is supposed to a 300 yard spool. Realizing that this is the first time I’ve purchased KastKing line, the thought occurred to me that perhaps they have a way of putting 300 yards on even though it looks like much less. So I will take it into my local Cabela’s store, and have guys there check it and get to the bottom of it. I’m really hoping it is 300 yards because many people are touting it as one of the best trout lines out there, and I simply want to get it loaded on a reel and try it out when the weather improves this spring. If it isn’t, then I’ll chalk it up as a lesson learned and buy a different line from a company that gives you what you pay for. Fortunately, there’s a lot of choices out there.

**Q: why is there not an option for 12lb line?**
A: There is for me. Check again.

**Q: Is this appropriate to use to make leaders attached to mono?**
A: Yes it is plus it doesn't stretch like mono

**Q: How long will this line last on the reel if lightly used and well taken care of?**
A: I guess a few seasons. However, the longer it is wrapped around the spool, memory will set in and the line may become somewhat coiled over time. But still very useful.

**Q: What would be the downside of using 15-pound line for smaller fish, so I can use this for lakes and inshore salt water?**
A: There’s no downside. I use 15 and 17 lb test fishing lakes and ponds for all size bass. Heavier fluoro just sinks a little faster than lighter flouro

### ⭐⭐⭐ Selectively invisible?

I bought this fishing line for non traditional purposes thinking I was some kind of genius artisan. See, I used it to try to anchor driftwood to slate in my fish tank. I certainly couldn’t see anything I was doing when working out of the water so my handiwork looked like the workings of a nine-year-old with lacking dexterity. Once I placed the driftwood in the fish tank, the fishing line was ironically much more visible and not aesthetically pleasing for this use. But listen, I don’t know if this matters to fish when they see a worm or hotdog or chorizo or whatever it is you fish with dangling in the liquid abyss. It’s also pretty sturdy stuff, even though it didn’t work in anchoring the driftwood down (not the fault of the fishing line.. this driftwood is just a straight up menace and my crafting abilities were not on point). I don’t fish, but if you’d like to get aggravated by some invisible string, I strongly encourage you to consider purchasing this.
