It fits well over the metal headband. The black color I got matches well, that it looks like it’s part of the headset. Wish I got this sooner, my head/scalp doesn’t hurt after prolonged use. The headset is still heavy, but can’t do much about that.

This AirPods Max headband cover has been very reliable. I have been using it for about two years, and it has held up extremely well. It has not stretched out, it stays securely on the headband, and it has not discolored. In fact, I have not even cleaned it yet, and it still looks the same as when I first installed it. One of the common complaints with the AirPods Max is that the headband can sag over time. Since using this cover, I have not had any sag develop at all. The headband padding still feels supportive and has maintained its shape. Another big advantage is cleanliness. The stock AirPods Max headband is not easy to clean, which was always a concern for me. With this cover, I can simply wipe it down with a disinfecting wipe, which makes maintenance much easier. It does slightly change the look of the AirPods Max, and if aesthetics are your top priority, that may matter. For me, cleanliness, protection, and longevity are far more important. The headphones still look clean and presentable, and I am very happy with the tradeoff. Overall, I would recommend this headband cover if you want to protect the AirPods Max headband, prevent sagging, and make it easier to keep clean.

This is a very good solution to my AirPods Max saggy head band problem. It fits well and makes the headphones a lot more comfortable for long periods of use. My only complaint is they are made of silicone which can feel cold, warm or sweaty depending on the conditions. I would be interested in a model that included a strip of removable material that can absorb sweat and moderate the ambient temperature and humidity conditions. A simple velcro attachment device and nice piece of material should do the trick..

I absolutely LOVE the sound of my AirPod Max headphones, both in transparency mode and in isolation mode. And they were extremely comfortable when new. Sadly, Apple chose a material for the headband that loses it's elasticity over time which means that the metal bars of the headband start to rest directly on your skill. To make matters worse, Apple doesn't sell replacements nor does the design make it easy to replace that part with a 3rd party product. Fortunately, this cover not only provides protection for the existing headband (which, tbh, I don't need at all because it's junk as previously described) but it also acts as a "stretchy" substitute for the flaccid original Apple material. Win!! Given the low cost, this is a great if not perfect solution to a problem Apple should never have saddled on people who spent AirPod Max money on one of their products

These are ELITE. Have been spending 2 hours at the gym recently and my AirPod max mesh wore down and the bars hurt my head pretty bad after a while. These are next level comfortable and no more pain! Just wish there was a black color!

My 1st generation APM w/ Lighting had the mesh sag on the headband. Coupled with a desire to have a USB-C connection, I purchased the APM w/ USB-C and wanted to protect the headband from sagging, so I learned about this product from a Shorts video on Youtube. Although the price is below $10, I'm sure the markup on these are pretty substantial. The product fits the headband well, and I haven't encountered any noticeable impact on the "fit" or "comfort" of my new APMs. I reckon to say this is a must have if you wish to prevent the original mesh from getting dirty and from sagging.

Bought it because my old airpods max headband was coming apart. After installing this peace it becamo more comfortable to use. Also during my several month usage it showed no signs of wear.

I bought this to protect the headband on my AirPods Max and I’m really happy with it. It fits well, adds a bit of extra comfort, and doesn’t ruin the look — actually makes them look even better i have a blue and black custom mods. Easy to install and feels durable. Great buy if you want to keep your AirPods Max in top shape or have a bit of a custom look to them.
