No. This only changes the channels from digital to analog.

Question 2

I need to replace the original remote control.  How can I find just a remote?  Specific info, please?

I did what Armchair Critic suggested to do.  It was GREAT advice.  I was able to order the exact remote needed for the Insignia NS-DXA1 analog-to-cable converter.  Over the years, I just plain wore out the original remote that came with the converter.  Many buttons did not work at all anymore.  There was just an oblong hole where the mute button used to be.  You get the picture, I'm sure.  My sincere thanks to you Armchair Critic!  I never would have even known the Electronic Adventure people existed if not for you.  Thanks again!  You have done me (and no doubt others) a great service.

Question 3

I'm having trouble with the volume. It is VERY quiet, I have to turn the volume up all the way to almost hear anything. Can this be fixed?

Having gone through as many converters as I have, the low volume is a problem every converter there is regardless whether it was connected RF or RCA/Composite jacks.  In case you have not experimented, changing the sound setting to "mono" does increase volume little more, whereas you can only get stereo sound using the RCA jacks.  If after changing the volume on the converter it is still not to your liking, you might want to consider a soundbar with RCA jacks.

will this convert analog to digital our local NBC channel has stoped brodcasting digital and has went back to vhf signal any sugestions ?

This unit is a digital to analog converter, not the other way around. As far as I know, the entire broadcast system in this country (U.S.)
has gone over to digital. VHF, UHF, makes no difference.
