Strong
I used it to remove rough bits of a fallen tree in a public area and to plane down a bigger tree branch (silver maple) that didn't cut smooth. It did such a great job the "stump" is healing over 6 months later.

Wood eating beast
This is a wood eating machine. I would caution anyone using this to use good common sense and stay safe. It will eat wood amazingly fast. I believe that it would eat most anything else (except steel) that it came into contact with also. It will grind down nails, but it won't work the same afterwards. I purchased a second one after chewing up some nails on a remodel project.

Great budget option!
This removes wood as well as the higher priced options. It is a course cut but great for heavier removal. I do custom trim work and am using it to cope my inside miters. This is 10x better than traditional flap disks and much more affordable than the name brand carving disks, while still delivering similar performance.

Aggressive Cutters, Even for Hardwoods
I’ve been using the more-convex 4.5” discs for the past few months to shape bowls. I’ve tried several other brands of wood-carving discs for the angle grinder, including cheaper imports from Asia, and the OBA discs are the best I’ve found. They’re mild steel, so they don’t stay sharp for very long (when carving a large hardwood bowl, such as 20” diameter and 12” deep, I will often go through two or three discs in the process). But when sharp, they are super aggressive cutters, and, in my experience, well-behaved in terms of kick-back, binding, or pulling in unwanted directions. I’ve used them for local Hawaiian hardwoods (mango, lychee, Milo, Koa), and while they do dull more quickly, they still cut these hardwoods quite well. They do have their limits though, and local Kiawe wood (Janka hardness of 3500 or more) causes excessive chattering and rapid dulling). While using the discs I frequently (every few minutes) blow them off with a high-pressure air gun attached to my air compressor and this helps keep them cutting well for longer. Once the teeth become clogged with wood fiber and resins I soak them in drain de-clogger overnight and then brush out the teeth with a brass-bristle brush. The cleaned-off discs don’t cut hardwoods as well as new, but are still good for less demanding woods and for de-barking. I have found that, when cutting hardwoods, it’s helpful to keep the angle of attack and the degree of pressure somewhat lower in order to avoid chattering, which seems to result in bent teeth that quickly shorted the lifespan of the discs. My only complaint is that I wish the discs were available with carbide teeth. Changing the discs every hour or so of carving does become a nuisance, but a manageable one.

9 1/2 Fingers Still Attached — 10/10 Would Buy It Again
I bought this gnarly wood shaping wheel with two goals: Shape wood. Not meet my ancestors early. Happy to report it absolutely shreds… the wood. This thing doesn’t “remove material.” It negotiates aggressively with it. Slap it on the grinder and suddenly you’re not sanding — you’re sculpting like a caffeinated Viking. It eats hardwood for breakfast and asks for knots as a snack. Pros: Removes wood faster than my paycheck disappears on payday. Leaves surprisingly controllable, clean contours. Turns “I’ll just smooth this edge” into “Well, guess I’m building a whole new project now.” Cons: Will humble you instantly if you get cocky. Makes every other tool in the shop feel like it’s on light duty. Respect the tool, brace your elbows, and let it do the work. If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a cross between a fine artist and a medieval blacksmith, this wheel delivers. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys controlled chaos and the sweet smell of freshly annihilated lumber.

Used to grind down 3 tree stumps that protruded a few cm above ground level. Worked really well on very hard wood that a 35mm wood drill bit struggled with for multiple vertical holes
