I had a bunch of tree roots left from a removed tree as dirt settled that were making lawn mowing extremely difficult. I thought of various remedies, then came across this tool. Worked great shredding the roots to below dirt level. Also worked very quickly, just had to have a good grasp on the angle grinder. Wear eye protection.

The grinder works as intended, it chew's up wood pretty impressively. But hold on for your life. The only reason I didn't give it four stars is because if you're using it on an x-lock adapter on a Makita or bosh angle grinder and you use it for more than 20 minutes straight you will not be getting the wheel off the adapter. The two fuse into one basically.

I know people say this is unsafe. Lol. I guess their trying to take off inches in a few seconds. But this thing works great.

I bought two of these to grind down a stump with an angle grinder and it worked well over all. It these did the job well, taking down about 3 inches of wood on a foot and a half wide stump, bringing it below the surrounding grass. A couple of things to note. if it gets into dirt at all, it will eat up the teeth pretty quick (I knew I would do something dumb, which is why I bought two). Use a brass wire brush to clean out the teeth every now and then since these remove a good bit of wood and do get loaded up a bit over time. The big thing... DO NOT get greedy and DO NOT turn your angle grinder to the right and use the edge of the tool. Trying to take too much or using that edge will cause the disk to grab and WILL rip the grinder out of your hand, especially if it is a high torque electric grinder. No side handle or gorilla grip is going to keep the grinder in your hands. Its not a fault of the tool, and is 100% on the user to use their head and take their time. Be safe and happy grinding!

As an attachment to my angle grinder, this wheel has proven to be a formidable tool in cutting through wood. I have tested it on a variety of woods such as Cedar, Pecan, and Walnut, and in each instance, it has demonstrated outstanding performance. It is important to note, however, that safety precautions must be taken when using this product. One inadvertent touch of the wheel on the skin can result in serious injury, necessitating the use of protective clothing. Additionally, it should be noted that the angle grinder with this wheel is not suited for precision cuts, and great care must be taken when applying the tool to the wood. The wheel has a tendency to pull in one direction or another, requiring a firm grip on the grinder. In terms of Live edge work, this wheel may not leave a perfect finish, and sanding may be required to achieve the desired results. Despite this, I remain highly satisfied with the product's performance and would recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient cutting tool for wood.

Used this on pine wood. Worked fine for the first half day of smoothing but after that performance really dropped off. Angle grinder used was a heavy duty wall powered DeWalt. Would not buy again.

This is a wood eating machine. I would caution anyone using this to use good common sense and stay safe. It will eat wood amazingly fast. I believe that it would eat most anything else (except steel) that it came into contact with also. It will grind down nails, but it won't work the same afterwards. I purchased a second one after chewing up some nails on a remodel project.

Used to grind down 3 tree stumps that protruded a few cm above ground level. Worked really well on very hard wood that a 35mm wood drill bit struggled with for multiple vertical holes

Lo probé con madera de nogal seca. Se la come como si fuese mantequilla. La sensación de uso es como cuando cortas con una motosierra bien afilada, es decir, ella sóla se mete más y más en la madera, como si hubiese una especie de magnetismo. Va muy bien.
