Old Folk Magick Like My Grandmother Taught
Proper spell casting as was taught by the Irish elders of the craft. I would highly recommend for a first time magick book.

Great book!
Wonderful book, full of useful information and interesting spells. Illes' writing is lovely and well-informed. Another review for this book says it's "full of the same information" as Illes' other writing -- that's because this is a reprint of a previously published title with a new foreword written by Mat Auryn. Don't hold one reviewer's poor reading ability against a wonderful book! Every reader will learn something new.

Too many bath spells
I especially liked part one of the book. Part two was fine, but the spells section was primarily baths or oils to put in baths. I finally gave up reading baths, baths, baths.

Same writing in every book
Every one of her books has the same information. No new information, same spells, don’t spend your money on buying all her books. They don’t build on each other. Not sure which one is best.

An Interesting Book
An interesting and well written book that I am pleased to add to my library of occult reading.

New title for an existing book
I already own The Big Book of Practical Spells. What a pity then to buy this title by this well loved author only to discover it's the same book, reworked a little, with a new title. Absolute waste of money.
