Can the closing speed be regulated if a wind gust hits the door as it closes?

This closer has two speed adjustment, one for closing speed and another one is for latching speed, however this closer is only use for interior door.

What tool do you recommend to use to cut the door on the bottom? Router? Is it safe to use such a long drill bit?

Normally you can use Forstner drill bits or spade drill bits to make rough recess, then finish the details with chisel. Router would also work as long as you have a secure guide jig to hold the router in place and avoid it to cut unwanted area.

Does it have an option to open in one direction only?

Hi, Unfortunately there is no option to open in one direction only. (You may put door stops or L-shape bracket on top jamb to prevent the door to swing one direction.)

How does this work and how do you install this?

Hello, PDC105W-S is a pivot type door closer. Installation is quite easy. The bottom base plate can be mounted on the surface of floor without making a digging or cavity on floor/tiles. The closer main body is concealed inside the door so it will become invisible. PDC105W-S is a double-acting door closer that the door can open to 90 or 150° both inside and outside. Both the closing speed and the latching speed are individually adjustable. PDC105W-"S" comes with hold open function. (Non hold open model: "PDC105W") Thank you.
