will this docking station automatically charge the unit v10?

No it totally was 100 percent the wrong one. I bought it for my girlfriend because I broke her one that came with it. Don't ask how just did so I tried to make things right b you buy this one only to once again upset her

There were no instructions so I went to the Dyson website to figure it out.

Does this work for the Dyson v7 advanced?

No it didn't work for the Dyson I own v11

Is there an unremovable cord attached to this item?

No, and they will send you V10 model which doesn’t fit the V11 model. I just threw it away because I didn’t want to spend the time to return it.
