I'm on my third purchase of this soap. Sun damage of freckles on my arms and chest, and discoloration in underarms from hormone imbalance. Once pronounced freckles are fading and underarms are even now. I use it in the tub. As the water fills, I soap up. Really lather up! It's sits about 3 mins before I get bored and sink into the water. I think the soap in the bathwater has lightened other areas I wasn't even going after. (If you know what I mean) Not much of a smell. It's a little drying so moisturize. But I will continue using it until the freckles on my arms are gone. Cheers.

The bar is small. But, after I wash my body with organic black soap. I use this soap afterwards. The soap becomes very sudsy. Once my exfoliating glove is sudsy. I use the gloves to further clean my skin. It’s no need to keep rubbing the soap on the exfoliating glove or wash cloth. The bar makes a lot of suds. The scent is mild and my skin feels softer afterwards. I don’t use to whiten /lighten my skin. I use to make my skin tone even. It seems to work slowly. I use every other day. Use a lightening cream after you use the soap; to make the soap more effective.

Been using this for a decade and it definitely helps keep the skin routine on track. It's a marathon not a sprint... and if you spend time on Korean Skin Care... you know fine lines and clarity are addressed at the cleansing stage as well as at the toning and moisture/serum steps.
