Spear and Jackson BWF22 Oscillating Sprinkler with Brass Connector, Multi-Colour

I have always had Hoselock sprinklers that are plastic and become brittle in the winter months. Therefore I have had several over the years.I so wish I had found this sprinkler years ago.The span of this sprinkler covers my garden width in one go, whereas with my old sprinkler I would have to move it twice to cover the width. The water pressure hasn't changed so it must be the way this sprinkler is constructed.It is really well made and nice and heavy so stays put.It's oscillation is nice and slow too so it gives the grass a good watering.I am really really pleased with this item.

I’ve had it for a good few years. It’s built really well, mostly metal with only a few plastic parts.A few of the metal grommets had limescaled up, stopping the water from flowing and then most recently it would get stuck half way through the oscillation.Someone else’s review suggested spraying WD40 in the chamber which worked a treat. No longer gets stuck in the oscillation and moves very smoothly again.I also submerged the metal rod in vinegar to descale and used a paper clip to push any stubborn scaling through the grommets which also worked brilliantly - its now as good as new.Highly recommend spraying the WD40 and de-scaling regularly!Excellent sprinkler.

Two disappointing experiences with Hozelock sprinklers left me sprinklerless and with a very thirsty lawn. I had a good dig around for suitable alternatives and this stood out, simply because it wasn’t made entirely out of plastic.The metal construction feels solid, is heavy weight and includes a metal hose fitting. It instantly feels better quality than my previous purchases.In action the oscillation is smooth, has a good pace and has a nice wide spray pattern. I have reasonable water pressure; I barely have to open the tap to get the adequate spread for my 4m x 4m lawn. I haven’t tried it full cock but I imagine it has a very large spread for an oscillator.I imagine this will be more durable than my last plastic sprinkler and with a bit of annual maintenance should last for many years.I would happily recommend this product and I think the price is reasonable and reflects the quality.

Beyond all expectations.I have had all types of sprinkler, plastic circular, metal classic and used the hozelock also, yet this is honestly the best one I have seen or used.I expanded my lawn and it is 15 metre by 8.5 metre rectangular and knew this would be more suited, initially setting up in the expect rectangular width on fully open went beyond what was needed and the statitc spray went half into both neighbours.I made several adjustments but ended up putting it length ways with the static spray covering the full length and then reducing the moving width to suit the garden, opposite way to the video.Very impressed and it is metal, sturdy and great metal connectors. Got it at a reduced price but would have paid RRP.Really grateful for the stock in Amazon, quick delivery and several online reviews pointing me towards this brand, definitely will seek out other items they sell.

So the first one arrived and the plastic swing adjustment was broken, maybe this was because I ordered on prime day. The replacement was packaged much better and arrived just fine. So this has replaced my old broken hozelock sprinkler. Wow what a difference. From the start when you open the box it feels solid, made mainly of metal and brass jets. So when I turned the sprinkler on it was able to cover my whole garden width without having to move it like i did with my old hozelock. I'm very pleased at the moment with this sprinkler. One review I read was to be careful of the jets blocking up in hard water areas so as we are in a hard water area it will be interesting how it gets on. At the moment fantastic 👌.
