This is a little more complicated than a wireless version - but if you don't want that kind ( like us) this is GREAT! We had to have an electrician hook up but since we had some idea of our wires and replaced a doorbell it was easy to show him what we needed and have it done fast. It really is pretty simple if you are the kind of person that can do some basic wiring.Tip is that the monitor is very bright at night - we keep a little "curtain" over it when we go to bed.- a simple low-tech fix.The two way speaker picks up sound amazing - if hearing channel is on "outdoors" we can hear our neighbors talking 20 ft away.( not to eavesdrop - just something we figured out by accident)My mom was delighted with the quality and performance - when the Comcast solicitor ignored her no soliciting sign - he jumped 10 feet when the doorbell told him to GO AWAY! hahahaha small victories.

I ordered the kit with 2ea. doorbells and 3ea. 7 inch video monitor. The price was right at $295.00 so I gave it a shot and I am glad I did because this system works great. The instructions are in Chinese style English (broken English) but anyone who is smart enough to install this system should be able to figure out the written instructions good enough to complete the job.I don't think I can ever go back to paying 4 times the amount for Aphone

I am very impressed with the quality of this product, for the price I don't think there is a better product on the market. The camera appears very durable and is made with a metal body and housing. The display unit gives a very good picture and is very slim and modern looking. I replaced an older unit that I installed 5 years ago and paid over 4x as much as this on cost and this is a far superior product. Bcomtech's customer is amazing, I could not get the "unlock" button to work to open my gate. I emailed them on Saturday afternoon and by Saturday evening they had emailed me a response and helped my trouble shoot the problem, turns out it was a faulty wire that I installed between the units, so no fault of theirs.

These are great, use cat 5 cable and phone splices to make the connections. Buy the phone splices online or you will pay to much for them.

Great product. Just follow the directions for installation and don't make my initial mistake of running the camera wire to camera input on the unit. It goes to the door input even tho it is a camera.

This unit was easy to install. I was able to use the existing door bell wiring for outdoor camera.

I am a Daycare owner and babe this in my center and I absolutely love it!!! We are able To see everyone who comes in!!
