Xpand No Tie Elastic Shoe Laces for Sneakers - Shoelaces for Adults & Kids

After trying 3 different systems between 5 companies, these are the best. I've tried the round bungee cords, the silicon bands, and these flat ones. to start off, I have the most frustrating feet in my family, too high of arches, overpronate and oversupinate with each step, not a lot of fat on the ball or heel of my feet. Just terrible, tried every Dr. Scholl's product they make for men, literally. No avail. Then at the hardware store of all places I came across the silicon bands, I think they're called Hickies, mine were knockoffs for about 1.50 in their clearance aisle for a box, tried them, and loved them. they greatly improved my foot comfort, but they all broke one by one. At least now I was on the right path. So after trying out more name brand silicones and others, this was the best. Pros: -They look like laces, you can keep the excess material on them, and tie them like a normal shoe if you want to, so if you're self conscious, then buy these, they're pretty normal looking. -I bought another brand of flat elastic laces that said they were reflective, they weren't, these are blindingly reflective. -They're thin, but not too. The other brand of flat, were a bit too fat to fit through my eye holes of my tennis shoes, so you couldn't adjust tension at a later date easily. -They're the right amount of elastic, not too loose and not too tight. They feel like the silicone ones I had, which I liked a lot. -Randomly the company emails you a ton of informational videos on how to use their products, and different lacing techniques, it was weird, but cool to see a company that in love with their product and wanting to make sure the customer is well informed. -The laces feel odd and have a texture to them that made me feel like they'd start flaking and sloughing off, though I stress tested them and didn't end up with glittery hands. I've had elastics that have done that before, it's not cool. So glad to see the plastic thread is woven into the lace in a manner that it's well incorporated and not a coating. -As I said, I tie mine, instead of lacing them through their stopper. It was more so, if in the off chance I'd need to return them, I could in the same/similar condition I got them. Needless to say they hold a knot well and haven't ran into issues with them untying on me. Though I double wind around then pull through to form my second loop, it's the only knot I've found that can handle the abuse it receives from my stride. Cons: -Maybe they're not going to last that long, I don't know. They are thin, and my shoes have chewed through 6 elastic bands, though since then I "modified" my shoes to round out those sharp cutting corners. Though if you have metal eyelets and your foot moves around like mine, you're going to probably want to puffy paint the crud out of the eyelets like I did, not sure how that's going to hold up, but was working with what I had. -When lacing them, they kind of get annoying to make sure they're laying flat and not twisting on you in the eyelets. Things to keep in mind: I wear a size 10.5 US Male, after lacing, I had a lot left over, nearly 2 feet both sides per shoe, though with a big loop, you can wrangle them and manage it so the laces aren't dragging on the ground. Color wise, they're about a light gray, not too light that they're nearly white. Hex value would be about DCDCDC or 220,220,220 in decimal triplets. Conclusion: For 10 dollars, not bad, if they break, I'll buy them again. Would recommend for those that need that bit of give with their laces.

I run a minimum of 20 miles per week and usually have several pairs of running shoes in my rotation at any given time. I recently bought three new pairs of running shoes and wanted to get speed laces for them. I prefer speed laces to get a better fit from my running shoes and to avoid having to deal with untied laces during a run. I looked at the round, bungee-style laces that I normally used, but then I ran across these Xpand laces and was immediately enamored with the flat lace look of this system. After reading reviews, I decided to take a chance on them and ordered three pairs of laces. I received them quickly with Amazon Prime shipping. The laces were well packaged, with the required hardware, and included a small piece of paper with a link to the company's website where installation instructions are located. I found the instructions very straight forward, so I went and grabbed my running shoes and got to work! I installed these laces on three pairs of running shoes - a pair of Hoka Clifton 3's, a pair of Hoka Bondi 4's and a pair of Newton Gravity 6's. The laces were very easy to install on all three pairs of shoes, though a tad easier on the Hoka Bondi 4's, as they have eyelets that allow the laces to glide a little more easily. I installed the lace anchors immediately, which was really straight forward. After seeing how each pair felt, I decided to keep 1-2" of extra length on each pair of laces for adjustments and proceeded with the installation. I cut the laces, sealed the ends with a quick pass of a lighter flame and then installed the end clips. I was able to lace, adjust and finalize installation of the laces on all three pairs of shoes in under a half hour, not including the short time I spent testing them out on each pair to make sure I had the initial tension correct. I've found that adjusting the laces is relatively easy once you understand how they work. It's not unusual for me to adjust a pair of laces to increase or decrease tension depending on the socks I'm wearing, to accommodate foot swelling during a run or in the evening, etc. It takes slightly longer than the traditional bungee style speed laces I was using before, but really, the difference is negligible and I have done this during a few runs. I don't know that I'd want to mess with them during a race or while chasing down PRs, but on a typical run, adjusting the laces is not a problem. I really love how these laces look on each pair of shoes I've installed them in and the color selection is excellent. More importantly, I feel that that the tension across the tops of my feet is more even with these laces than with other speed laces. I do not get hot spots or uneven tightness on the tops of my feet that I sometimes did with the bungee-style laces. Overall, I really like the Xpand laces and will continue to use them from here forward as long as they remain available. I'm now recommending them to other runners without hesitation. Bought the off white and sand colors. Laces have lots of elastic in them and so far appear durable. The size of the laces are no different than any other kind of laces. The plastic locking mechanisms do feel kind of sharp when taking your foot in and out if the shoe. Laces also fray a lot after cutting, definitely want to singe them after cutting as directons recommend. So far, not bad. I appreciate the price of these more than others

Love these. These come with easy to follow directions for no-show and showing the laces. I used them for my gym shoes, and they’re perfect. My shoes are easy to slide on and off while also keeping me shoes on without my heels slipping out. 12/10 recommend these for frequently used shoes!

I bought these for a pair of sneakers and this is now my go-to brand for turning shoes into slip-ons. They seem sturdy and are easy to put on, so long as you don't have difficulty lacing a shoe.

It's alright, works perfectly fine 5/5 stars on just the functionality of it. I have a few issues 1- The laces are incredibly flammable. Should of been a bit more to the instructions to indicate that. I used a normal Bic lighter, kept only the very tips of the laces in the flame for about 1-2 seconds and then it caught fire, and grew very quickly. I was able to blow it out just fine but it did ruin the end of my laces. LUCKILY I didn't work on both sides at once and was able to cut off the bad bits and re-lace my shoes with the remainder of the shoelace. It's strange to me that they didn't include this as a warning but did have a big warning about leaving extra room on the laces just in case you made your shoes too tight. My advice, take it slow and keep the flame moving in and out, giving time for the shoelace to cool off and prevent any fires. Maybe test it on some scrap shoelace that you cut off. 2- The end bit that you're suppose to use on your shoelace tips looks awful. It's just cheap plastic that turns white when you bend it at the hinges. There are two 'styles' you can wear these shoelaces hidden or visible. Just do the hidden version, looks way better

These are excellent. They look like regular laces, but provide good support and flexibility to avoid tying them.

My son is still trying to learn how to tie shoe laces. But this came in handy as he still practices at home . They work well they have stay in places . I probably made them a lil too tight but rubber band will stretch with time soon think they are good. You can cut them at the length you want and they also have with different options to set them and they do have a QR code to see how the lil end part gets put on the shoe laces .

Works well. Will get more.

I wanted to try these out because I love slip on shoes (because I’m lazy) but love the look of shoes with shoelaces. Installation was easy and they give the same look as my shoes with normal laces (in the picture I didn’t cut the excess laces yet). I was also not sure of how they would perform with my high top vans but to my delight, they work extremely well and provide the same support! (I also used them on my low top converse.) I think the reflective laces are my favourite of the two because they look like normal laces and are really cool. Some other things I’ve noticed: - The white laces look like an elastic band but this didn’t bother me as much because who’s looking at my laces that close up anyways - The inside mechanism to hold your laces in place sometimes stabs my foot but a little bit of adjusting fixes that Overall I’m happy to no longer tie laces on my favourite shoes :)
