Best product for anal gland issues! Worked miracles for my dog!
I've only been giving my dog this product for a few days, so I can't speak for it's long term effects. My dog seems to like the taste of it, and her daily dose is small (1/2 tsp), even being a medium-sized 40 lb. dog. My dog frequently has issues emptying her anal glands completely, and my vet often ends up having to express them when they become full, which is uncomfortable for my dog. I've been giving her purรฉed pumpkin daily, and it does seem to make her more "regular," but it hasn't helped the anal gland issue, even with more than a tbsp/day. I found out about this product from Modern Dog magazine, and I like that it's made with natural, safe ingredients. It seems to just be made of probiotics and fiber, plus dried beef liver (I'm assuming as a filler/flavor additive). I am hopeful that this will be the solution for my poor dog's anal gland issues, as the only other solution would be to keep expressing her glands (which is obviously painful for her) or have her anal glands removed, which is risky and can cause incontinence issues. I'd much rather supplement this product than do either of those things! So far, so good. It seems to be helping as much as the pumpkin did for keeping her "regular," at the very least, and it's much easier to store than canned pumpkin, which I have to freeze in pre-portioned amounts in an ice cube tray. I also contacted Glandex's customer service with a question, and they were very helpful and prompt in responding to me. If your dog is having anal gland/sac issues, and pumpkin isn't working for him/her, I see no reason not to try this product, based on the reviews and its ingredients, unless your dog has a food sensitivity to beef. My vet couldn't find any research on the product to back it up, but she felt comfortable with the ingredient list and told me it wouldn't hurt to try it, since canned pumpkin isn't working. I'll be sure to update in about a month or so, once there's been enough time to see full results. Fingers crossed that this will be the solution we've been looking for! :) 7/15/15 - The first (2.5 oz) bottle is nearly empty, and I'm happy to report that my dog is no longer experiencing anal gland issues. I am so relieved to have finally found something that works. I went ahead and got a 4 oz bottle this time, since I know it works, and it arrived in the mail today. I was worried I might have to go back to giving her pumpkin (which doesn't work nearly as well) for a few days, but it shipped very quickly from the seller "ROR Warehouse." I previously had ordered it directly from Amazon, but I realized it was cheaper to order it from ROR and offered free shipping. :) I am so pleased with how well this product works and will continue buying it for the lifetime of my dog.

Fantastic Product!
This is a fantastic product for your dog! Early on, when my now 9-year old Dalmatian was a puppy, he started exhibiting signs of anal gland problems. Having had a previous dog with that issue, I didn't want this one to go through the same thing as far as having to go to the vet to have the glands expressed. So gross! A friend who is involved in rescue recommended the Glandex powder to me and I gave it a try. What a wonderful recommendation she gave me and this product has been a godsend! My dog hasn't had to have his anal glands expressed at all in the 9 years he's been here. He's healthy and happy! I continue to use this for him and have no plans to discontinue it. I mix it in with his food and it makes a nice "gravy" that he looks forward to eating! He prefers his evening meal as that's the one I mix the powder in. It doesn't leave any weird side effects either.

I have a Great Dane and has had horrible anal gland problems. Always had to go to veterarian to get expressed. The vet told me to try this. Well he loves the taste of it and after about a week of daily medication, problem starts to go away. So far his glands aren't completely clear, but he isn't licking all the time or leaking on the furniture. Try it.

Too early to give final review
Nothings perfect thats why the 4 stars but so far so good. Iโve been struggling to get my greater swiss mountain dog in better standing since i brought him home from a breeder and found out he had giardia. Heโs now 2 years old and i THINK iโve finally found a combo that includes this that works for him and his stomach the best. Iโve recently tried bernies poop and wasnt satisfied so i decided to try this. Iโve noticed a huge difference in poop quality since heโs been on this and its only been a week. He eats everything but the first day he tried to eat around the kibble that had the powder on it. Im not sure what that was about because it smells good in my opinion. after about 2 or 3 days feeding it to him he eats all he kibble with no problem.

It works, still need to exercise my dog properly
I have to admit I was skeptical, yet they do work. They only need a few days to really make an impact. No if it happens, the smell is much more minor.

Hard to tell if it is working
Kind of works for my dog, but he still has anal gland issues. He has been using for a few months but haven't seen a large improvement. Will keep using on his food and see if I see improvement.

Happy with product
Helps digestion to make my dogs poop firmer. She doesnโt scoot but will lick that area if she has leaks. The gland x wipes also take away the gland smells. Very good product and I use both occasionally when needed, I prefer using powder over bites.

Good and it does what it sais on the tin
As far as we can see it worked and we didn't have to take the dog to have he's gland squeeze like before every 2 weeks. It's been 4 weeks and he is fine.

Dog likes the taste. Owner likes no more ruptured anal glands. Win-win!
My little chihuahua was having bad gland issues with no precursors or symptoms until it was too late and he was back at the vet! My vet recommended this product to try since some of his other clients swear by it for their pets. I've been using this for a few months now and he seems to have no recurring glad problem since. Whether that's coincidence or causation... I'm happy with this product! And he devours his food with it sprinkled in!

It works and it's not peanut butter flavoured.
This stuff works as it should. The dogs aren't too keen on it but since they hate peanut butter it's easier than Glandex. I mix it with the food and it stops them 'scooting'
