Fascinating brew...
Unexpectedly pleasant, a treat at the price but as it says on the package: you can brew up to 3 times! The flavor DOES develop and change..! Off to make a pot now!

Good Quality Japanese Green Tea
This is definitely one of the best Japanese green teas I've found for sale on Amazon, and I've tried a lot. However, I do NOT recommend following the brewing instructions on the packaging. -Use 150 to 170 degree fahrenheit water (a little cooler than recommended) -Start with a 15-30 second rinse (discard, do not drink) -Steep for 30 seconds up to 3x Color in photo is 1st steep after 30 second rinse.

Yummy
Great taste and beautiful smell

Good, not great
Nice grassy, herbaceous flavor and aroma, but I found the sakura nearly impossible to taste or smell. The deep steamed leaves create a beautifully cloudy, nearly opaque tea with far more sediment than most sencha. It's almost like a sencha-macha hybrid. Overall, a good sencha, but I am disappointed in the weakness of the sakura and find the price a bit too high for the quality received.

Sakura green tea must have !!!!
This tea tastes soooo good !!! It has a very soft mellow sweet taste with green tea. I’m not sure how to describe it but the sakura smell is heavenly. 10/10 would buy this again ! TIP: If you don’t want leaves in your drink, Get a finely meshed steep container because I used that cup and the Nessie tea steeper and the leaves went through. But the leaves stay at the bottom for some time if it’s not a big deal for you.

Nice grassy flavor with subtle floral hints, just not my preference.
If you follow the exact temperature and steep time directions, this is a nice cup of tea. The loose leaves are bright green and the brewed tea is also bright green. It has a grassy flavor with very subtle floral hints. The leaves are somewhat pulverized with really small pieces and a lot of dust, which may be what some people like. I personally prefer larger or whole leaves and also found the small pieces of this tea really hard to strain and then clean out of the strainer. If you do not follow the specific temp and time for brewing, it easily becomes bitter. For reference, my favorite teas are from TWG. I prefer green or white and I’m generally not a black tea drinker. While I found this tea relaxing to drink and did enjoy it, it’s not one I reach for and would not purchase again.

Authenticity
I'm a 42 year old male American diabetic...I'm always finding ways to bring down my A1-C(sugar levels).I'm now realizing the key to achieving that is simply through herbal teas but not just any herbal tea from anywhere.i have decided to go the natural organic path.Recently I took interest in Japanese tea.The Sakura-Chen tea seems to fit the bill here.its packed straight from the source no stapled, glued or packed teabags.nothing is added just pure organic tea leaves.it can serve as a delicious ice tea as well.yes it's expensive but your paying for quality and the distance these fine teas come from...it's no wonder japanese are so healthy.tea is part of their main diet.enjoy !!
