The media could not be loaded. I've owned a number of G-Shock Frogman watches. This one looks superficially similar to the GWF-1000.The key technology gains over the 1000 include:A dive computer rather than a dive timer (neither matter to me), it has the same basic functionality that dive computers used to have 20 years ago (minus PC connectivity). No big shakes until you remember that it is doing this all from a solar-powered rechargeable watch batteryDigital compass which is surprisingly handy, it is very forgiving of the way you hold it, expect this in other Casio watches soon.Temperature reading (again more for the diver) or when you are running a bathThe display has been rearranged and a bit easier to readMuch better display light and crisper to read at nightThe real benefits for me were in the build quality:You get a sapphire crystal rather than the usual hardened mineral glass. This isn’t the first time that Casio has used a sapphire crystal on a watch, but they are harder to manufacture and more expensive than the usual mineral glass face, which is probably why this one is close on double the price of the GWF-1000The manner in which the strap is secured to the case has been completely revised. There is are new Allen key screws and a carbon fibre rod to secure the strap to the case. This is a huge improvement. With the GWF-1000 I was losing the screws that attached the strap to the case through 18 months of useThe strap is made of polyurethane resin reinforced with carbon fibre, the strap doesn't 'break in' in the same way and become more comfortable over time in the way that the GWF-1000 strap does. The loop that holds the excess strap length is now a section of stainless steel which has been bent around the strap.So why only one star? As a long time G-Shock owner I was disappointed when my D-1000 managed to let in water just after it was up on its warranty. This isn't something that you should expect from an $1,000 pound dive watch.

You could drive a tent-stake with this watch. They don’t sell this one at Walmart!HeavyHuuuuugeToughBeefyFor $1000.00 +/-, I’d go to war with this watch.

Hello Divers!I got my watch in a shop in my hometown cologne.This G-Shock is massive, forget the fotos.It is NOT a "rangeman"If you look for a full dive computer, this is not the watch you want. If you love the Casio G-Shock Look in it's extreme, yes you will love it! No G-Shock is more "shocky".After all this Swiss watches, i'm back to japan!What a dive computer need?New 50$ Battery every year!It's not the problem money, but i dont like it...2 Computers got "Err" (from 2 big companys).My expensive "007" Diver 300m watch?After some years it just broke...I would never trust one computer only, and 2 of them is overkill! So i was looking for an watch with gaugemeter.This is the watch!Compass is precise enough for some Navigation too,and the depth is very accurate."20m Freshwater" is shown as 19,7-19,8m.Yes, Good job Casio, same my Divecomputers did.(Saltwater-Calibration, that's it.)My other Japan Diverwatch jears ago? Sometimes 18,9m sometimes 19,5... and so on. Ok for some kind of backup but not great.This baby got the best technic 2016/2017.The years will show if good quality too.But right now? Great!If you are a diver:The lake is 24m deep. Get an EAN Mix 38-40%Set a timer for Alert 40 Minutes before going into dive mode. So the bottom time will be good enough for some normal recreational dive time. Most divers would empty a 10-12L cylinder quicker than that safe 40 Minutes. After the Alert go into some shallow waters an do a safety stop at 6m and one at 3m, Also the watch warn you if more than 10m/min going up. It was louder und quicker than my dive-computer. Back on surface it show you the surface time.Wait a good long Lunchbreak and do one more dive.Use a Traditional Dive Planner for safe times.Computers? For deeper dives, liveabords, 4-5 dives a day... Yes, you will need a real Divecomputer.This is a backup for real divers, an a good Every Day Watch too.Divers, that the G-Shock for you.Get one.

10万超えするだけのクオリティです。そんじょそこらのGーShockではないです。
