Skechers Women's BOBS Plush-Peace & Love Flats

***For whatever reason my photos are not posting to Amazon but I am working on resolving this issue! I have never owned BOBS or TOMS in my life, but I thought both shoes were adorable and their missions noble, so I decided to buy both shoes and do a side by side comparison. (I also included side by side photos of the unboxing of each shoe in the hopes that it might be helpful to someone else!) First up, BOBS by Sketchers (they were on sale for $28.88 marked down from $42.00 when purchased). They are made out of a canvas fabric and have rubber sole. They slide on easily and comfortably because of the stretchy goring wedge at the top of the shoe. The footbed is made out of memory foam and they have a shock absorbing low profile midsole which is great for those who find themselves on their feet longer. In addition they have an "arch pillow" that provides exceptional support. They also come in a beautiful assortment of colors, both vibrant, natural and pastel which I love! Even the interior of these shoes is adorable (for the comparison I opted for black which have the cutest black and grey cheetah pattern!). When I first tried them on I noticed they were definitely tight and the top of the shoe did feel really stiff but I'm sure they will loosen up once they form to my feet and break in more. The bonus of buying BOBS is that they are currently running a promotion in which 25¢ from each purchase will be donated to the Petco Foundation to help save the lives of dogs and cats in America’s shelters. I am extremely pleased with these shoes so far! Next up, TOMS (they were $34.76 when purchased). They are completely authentic TOMS when purchased from the TOMS retailer (as opposed to a third party company) so no need to worry. They are made out of textile (cloth and woven fabrics) and have a synthetic sole. They also have a canvas top with an elastic bit for an easy slip on design and comfortable fit. The shoes are very lightweight and come in an awesome assortment of vibrant colors with adorable interior fabric prints (although I personally chose black again which had a very cute cream and black wild life pattern on the inside). The insole is made out of suede and feels very comfortable but not quite as supportive. An additionally bonus is that with every pair of TOMS purchased, an additional pair is donated to a child in need which is super rad. I do like these shoes but part of me feels like you are paying for the name. But they are still a great price and when you think of the good they are doing by donating a second pair of shoes it's totally worth it. Although I really do like and recommend both shoes, I'd have to say that I personally like the BOBS more. In spite of the fact that both shoes look nearly identical, I do tend to side with the all black look that the BOBS have (although I recently found out that you can purchase that style in TOMS too! 😊). I also enjoy the fact that you have the option of choosing a wide fit (which I usually wear) in BOBS while TOMS unfortunately does not offer a wide option, they simply recommend buying a size up if you have wider feet. In addition, I really liked the memory foam footbed and the "arch pillow" in the BOBS because I'm on my feet all day chasing miniature humans and if I don't have proper support, my knees and hips will yell at me 😂. I still recommend both products but again, I did like personally liked the BOBS more.

Lovely shoes. Worn TOMS for years and these BOBs are such an upgrade. The memory foam inside and arch support are game changers. The bottom of the shoe is a bit slippy, so I would be cautious on smooth floors with them. Like a similar review, the tag on the back is tacky so I used a seam ripper to remove them and they look so stylish now!

I LOVE these shoes!!!! I've debated getting a pair of BOBs for a REALLY long time. I have a pair of the BOBs Pureflex 3 shoes and wore them all over Ireland and London with NO blisters!!! I also wore them throughout the end of my pregnancy when my feet were way too swollen to fit in normal shoes. So, I was really nervous to get a pair of the normal canvas ones because I was afraid they would be too scratchy and confining. My friend has a pair and loves them, so I decided to give these a shot for the price. I absolutely adore them. They are NOT as comfortable as my purflex pair (but I knew they wouldn't be, based on the material). They are super cute though and definitely comfortable. I walked all day in them (had a meeting to go to across town). My ONLY complaint is that the top part of the canvas did dig into the top of my right foot a little bit (see attached picture, I've circled the indention it left on my foot at the end of the day). I always have problem with slip on and "stretch" shoes digging into the top of my top right foot because I have such a high arch. I'm really hoping once these break in a bit and soften up, they won't do that anymore. This is the only reason I took off a star (and when they arrived, they had 2 dirt spots on the inside of the shoe (see picture), but on the inside and small, so that didn't really bother me). All in all, great shoes, I highly recommend. In fact, I've ordered another pair in a different color! For size reference, I wear in an 8.5 and that's what I ordered. They fit perfectly. I probably could have gotten away with an 8, but I don't like anything to feel too tight.

These shoes don’t go with everything you own but awesome with jeans and they fit perfectly. They are a little pricey in my opinion. I’m on my 4th pair. I also throw them in the washer and lay them out to dry.

I ordered these in black to wear to work. So comfortable to wear and they look great with just about any outfit. The only thing about these is if your feet are a little wider, DEFINITELY order wide sizes as they are a little more narrow on the front. I wear a pair of no show socks with these and my feet still do not get hot throughout the day despite being on them all day so they have great ventilation. The bottoms and soles (memory foam) seem to be durable enough so far.

These shoes are super cute and comfortable very lightweight and feel like you’re wearing slippers. Also, I have worn them casually and dressed up. Amazon price also was less than what I found in the stores nearby. Hopefully that does not change.

So, let's talk about this folks.😐 I purchased this BoBs Sketchers Black slip on 2 TIMES at this point. ALL I can say is..... DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Just don't do it unless you know what you're about to get. For starters, each and everytime I received these shoes, they were packaged well, arrived on time, and were completely new never having been worn. So that's a plus at least! Nice packaging. I decided to purchase these because I do love comfy well functioning shoes that AREN'T sneakers, and I thought these would be a good choice. They are comfy. I purchased these to take on my holiday to function as my cute "walking shoes." BOTH times I purchased these shoes, they wore down quickly like I was wearing cardboard boxes on my feet ya'll.😒 Not even into a full month of wearing these shoes everyday, the heels of the shoes were worn down with holes. 😭Water was getting into my shoes when it was raining. When I purchased this slip on, I paid about $25-$27 for them. I understand that a part of the profits for these shoes goes to a charity for animals or something? Honestly, I think you need to just take the $20+ dollars and donate to a charity of your choice. After only TWO weeks of constant wear, by the time I got back from my holiday BOTH times, I ended up simply throwing them away because they were worn down and all kinds of busted up. COME ON NOW. I always thought to myself that these shoes are not worth more than $20 MAX because of how cheaply made they are. As of writing this review, the price or these shoes are currently $20. That's about right. BOB, you can even knock that price down a bit more. Maybe by about $5 more. It's kind of like these shoes are the equivalent of a pair of flats you buy because someone stole your shoes or your high heels broke. This is the kind of shoe that you purchase knowing it will be very.....TEMPORARY. The color of the shoe is fine and accurate (its black how can you go wrong), the size of the shoe was my size but a little snug (not in a bad way), non slippery, and they worked for walking. For 2-3 weeks....MAX. After that, good luck. What a disappointment. Just as quickly as you bought them, you will be throwing them in the TRASH. 3 stars. They look nice. They are comfy. And some little dog/cat gets a treat everytime you purchase a pair. 🐕 🐈
