This IS THE doorstop. It works perfectly on our slick wooden floor. When we place the door stops on the end of the door as directed (not perpendicular to the door) and give them a tap with the toe, they stick like glue to any surface. And it appears that this is the only doorstop that is robot proof. That's right! Niles, our vacuum cleaner robot, has one bad habit. He pushes normal door stops away from the door, which could lock him in a room when he goes behind the door. This has not yet happened, but he occasionally hides them under a bed or gets jammed up on them because of their ramp configuration. These door stops stay in place. We are happy. Niles is happy. Great product! I purchased some more for our church, with its high sheen tile foyer and adjacent sanctuary doors.

I’ve had these for almost 3 years and they are really sturdy and easy to maneuver. These are the jumbo size, and they work really well on medium or high pile carpet. We used these to prop a couple bedroom doors that have a mind of their own. The multidirectional stop is a helpful feature. Keeps the door exactly where I want it, and was quite effective at withstanding air current from open windows in summer or changes in air pressure from the HVAC. We recently changed out the carpet for hard flooring. These still work on the new engineered wood floor, but I don’t love the sound and sensation of sliding them across the hard flooring. Haven’t seen any sign of floor damage so I think they’re fine. It’s just the light dry screech that I don’t love when sliding the wedge to and fro. One of the wedges did get a random scuff mark on like day one that I’ve never been able to clean off.

At one time, my house was carpeted. As a result, all of the doors are cut high off the floor. The doors would just go right over other door stops. A few of them, including the heavy iron ones, would just hold the doors, but even the slightest bump from my dogs, or even a good breeze, would render them useless. These door stoppers have come to the rescue. They are more than tall enough to hold the doors securely. They stay firmly in place, whereas others would often slide along the hardwood floor. I also like that they can be placed under the edge (side) of the doors, thus making them nearly flush with the doors and less likley to get bumped or get in the way. Despite their grip, they are easy to move in and out from under the door with my foot, so I don't have to bend down to do it.

This door stopper is amazing! I tried almost all the different types of door stoppers at my school and they would all just slide and my door would never stay open. Sooo frustrating. I finally just decided to get my own and I am so glad I did. This bad boy keeps my door all the way open and it doesn’t budge. It works really well on the waxes floors. If you’re on the fence about getting this, just get it! Who would’ve thought I could be *this* excited over a door stopper!

Doesn't work that well. The thin edge is not thin enough to get under one of the doors I used it on. And it does move too easily along hard floors despite the claims. The material is more rigid than most door stops, so it slides more easily than the traditional style. For the price, I didn't find it worked that well for me.

Only discovered these recently and they’ve been amazing. I have two cats and when they play they have a tendency to bump the doors either fully open or shut. They once shut a door and made it so they couldn’t get to the room with the litter box. This door stop makes it so I can partly close doors without worrying the cats will shut it completely by accident

We have had this for about 4 years and it's perfect for what we need it for. Our two cats decide that between 1am-2am is the perfect time to practice their sprinting. We have the door open, just enough for them to slide through, and we have had 0 problems with the door jam. The cats don't knock the door open and it doesn't leave any marks on our door. It is definitely the most sturdy door jam I have ever used. I would 100% buy this again!

This doorstop is pretty good but it still isn't great. The door I use it on has quite a large gap which this fits fine but the floor is wooden so other doorstops typically slip. This one slips way less but it does still slip because it doesn't have enough resistance on the bottom. It is also kind of finnicky to take out, put in and move. I also find that the instructions it gives you aren't really the most effective way to use it and it normally sticks better if I put it at an angle.

Looked study when it arrived and had some what high expectations. This may come down to the environment but my living room I classify as average with the normal door and carpet affair, when installed under the door it felt rock solid, but if you are going to be purchasing this to stop you toddler to being able to move the door think again as that was my intention. The reason is that if your child toddler can grip and pull with any type technique the door stop is coming out. Seems like a nice product and would have like to give it a better rating but for me it did not do the job I wanted it to do.
