Vacuum works great as long as you stay within it's abilities (which are solid)
TL;DR: Bought on sale cyber monday, should've bought a spare battery then. Go ahead and get a spare battery for the deeper cleaning days! I can normally cover ~2800sq/ft (hard to guess tbh, not sure how big the downstairs is, but it does account for most of the house, and is mostly tile/hardwood) in 25ish minutes and be fine, but if I've been lazy and the cats have been shedding, one battery won't quite make it (but it'll be close). I really like this vacuum! Other things of note: If you run it wide open (max suction) the battery will last maybe 10 minutes. You do not need to do this however unless the situation calls for it. let it decide. You need to clean the dust filter often (This goes for many vacuums, not just this one), I normally do it after every full-downstairs vacuum because it comes with a spare, and it'll normally be dry by the time I want to use it again. Takes about 1 minute total to clean, so there's no reason not to do this. That's it. It's a great vacuum for what I wanted it for, light to medium duty frequent use so I don't have to bust out the plug-in dyson and drag that thing all over the place. For carpet heavy environments, you want something plug-in period, this is not a great main unit for a carpet heavy environment. For all hard floors it would be great. We have 3 cats and two small children, so there's always something that needs vacuuming and I wanted a reasonably powerful cordless vac to hit the proverbial high spots, and this more than meets those relatively low requirements. As stated above, I can usually cover the whole downstairs on a single charge, occasionally if there's excessive crud (because someone hasn't been running it regularly) I have to grab the second battery, or if we're doing a more deep cleaning around the furniture and pulling stuff out from the wall, it comes in handy (think multiple canister dumpings and what not). It's very easy to break down and clean.. I probably should've read the instructions but nah. I have not clogged the dust filter to a point where the vacuum constantly runs in high vacuum mode (this is a complaint I read about from other users), and I keep it clean to avoid that situation. This is something one should do with their corded vacuums as well, as it greatly cuts down on the available power if neglected (and causes a higher instance of dust circulation rather than capture). The included tools are mostly helpful for the situations that require them, not much else to say there. I don't see the point of the dust filter cleaner attachment since you'd just be clogging up the other filter, instead I wash them by hand in the sink by running water down the middle (backwards), and let em dry til the next use. easy peasy.

Efficient vacuum for small to medium spaces
I've been using this product nearly every day for a few weeks now and I'm pleased with its performance. I find the overall weight to be pretty good, no issues with feeling like I am lugging around a giant machine. The maneuveribility of the head is great and lets me get in to a fair amount of tighter spaces without needing to move as much furniture. It also has a great low profile so certain areas I can get beneath with ease. I have two dogs so I use this fairly often to keep on top of the hair, and I've found that it's been very helpful for that. I don't really have a lot of carpet right now so I can't speak to its power on carpets, but with the vinyl and tile I have it does well. The mini roller head attachment is also great for keeping my couch and bed relatively hair free, with again the overall lightness of the weight makes this easier to do. The added switch that keeps the trigger pressed is a huge bonus for most jobs and really relieves hand strain. The battery life works for my space and I can generally do all the floors within one go. If you have a larger space or many rooms to do on a regular basis, I'd recommend getting a second battery or a corded vacuum. There is an auto dirt detect feature with this vacuum that will put it in to max power, especially in dirtier areas or areas with carpet and that can be a drain on the battery. Otherwise, with regular wood/vinyl/tile/etc it performs well. Attachments provided help take care of pretty much all jobs, the included wall mount was easy to put up. The filters seem to do a good job, I haven't noticed any smells or dirt or dust leaking from them which tells me everything is staying well contained in the canister. At the end of the day I'm very happy with my purchase. It's made staying on top of dog hair very easy and I don't spend a ton of time vacuuming because of how easy it is to carry the vacuum up stairs and push around. If you're looking for a decent stick vacuum then I'd say this is your go to, but if you need a heavy duty powerhouse you may want to consider a corded vacuum or canister style. Regardless, I am pleased and recommend this as a great every day or maintenance option for most people.

Disposable. Less than one year old and no suction left. New battery costs $80 bucks. No thanks!
I was excited about this purchase but less than a year later, I am finding this appliance does not last. First impression: The good The suction was great and I loved not having to deal with a cord/plug The light really seemed to help find dust as I vacuumed Emptying the dust bin is a little awkward but not terribly difficult. The bad I was disappointed in the wall rack for 2 reasons, first it did not hold all of the attachments. Second it was not a charging base. This was my mistake I suppose but when looking at the photos ir appeared to be a charging base; however, the charger is a separate cord to be manually plugged in. Second, I was irritated that the base was not set up to hold all of the attachments, very disappointed in that because keeping the tool organized was important to me. Maintenance Every time I used this (approximately 2x a week to supplement my Roombas' daily runs) I would empty the bin, remove the filter, rinse and allow it to try before the next use and plug in to charge. Recently I noticed that when I would run this vacuum there was less in the bin and started to notice that it was no longer picking up as much. I then checked for clogs (none) and checked the suction and it is very weak now. I realized that maybe it needs a new battery so checked the price on those and it is $80 bucks for a new battery, So now I have to decide whether to spend $80 to keep using this underwhelming piece of equipment or purchase another machine. I believe a product like this should last longer than 9 months Decided to go ahead and purchase battery replacement. This battery is just as weak as the one I already have, now I have 2 batteries and a worthless vaccum. So disappointed because this was a splurge for me to try to make my life easier and I am very let down.

Great on hard floors, low carpet, and sucks up kitty litter!
I previously had a no-name cordless stick vac that could convert into a hand vac, and the suction on it was terrible. It was fine for a couple of years as we used it to just do quick sweeps of our hardwood floors, but it couldn't do any big pieces or kitty litter. it finally broke and i got the Tineco as a replacement. Holy smokes, this thing can SUCK. My floors have never been cleaner and I can't believe I put off getting a new cordless stick vac for so long! We have two cats, one of which has dense short fur and the other has soft whispy long fur. We also live in a cooler climate, so we tend to leave the windows open a lot, so as you can imagine, there's quite a bit of dust and fur to pick up all the time. Our house is a tri-split level so robo vacs are out unless we get one for each floor (too expensive) or move it around (too much brainpower to remember that). We have a corded Shark vacuum which is fine, but it's a hassle to move it up and down the stairs for the bigger jobs. The Tineco is perfect for our house and works great for our needs. Overall, I highly recommend it! PROS: -easy to move around -easy enough for my kids to operate -has a lock so you don't have to hold the trigger down all the time -has a light to see what you're picking up -charging station -haircutter tool, which is a must in our house - we all have long hair! -easy to swap out attachments or change to handvac -AMAZING SUCTION - can pick up kitty litter and crumbled goldfish crackers easily CONS -smaller tank that has to be emptied frequently -needed to cut hair off it after every use (although maybe that's because my house is dirtier than I thought) -need to let it charge overnight the first time so you can't use it right out of the box to really test it -sometimes the suction is too strong and I can't use it on certain rugs -this model doesn't come with an extra battery -there aren't enough hooks on the charging station for all of the attachments

Surprised it doesn’t have 5 stars
I honestly don’t know where to start. I have nothing bad to say about this vacuum. I’ve owned it for five or six years now it has really good battery life even now. I use it often to clean large spaces and it does great. You can press the button on the front for more suction power for difficult to clean spots. It’s lightweight and I don’t put it on the charger much. I leave it off the charger most of the time and I honestly forget to charge it and it lasts for weeks. I tend to vacuum every few days. I have nothing but good things to say about the vacuum. It’s easy to take apart and clean. It has held up wonderfully after five years of use.

Not really worth the money, occasionally dumps dirt back on the floor
I'm writing this review in April 2024 - I bought the vacuum in November 2023, so I've had it a solid six months to give it a try. Before I bought this, I had a cheap stick vacuum I got for around $40. It worked pretty well, but the suction wasn't great. No big deal, you get what you pay for, right? It still worked fine for my purposes, mostly getting cat hair and tracked litter off a hardwood floor. I wanted something with a little more "oomph" that would work on thin rugs, have better suction, and a better battery life. I didn't need a super expensive Dyson, I just needed something a little better than what I had. So I tried this, which cost a lot more than my cheap one but a lot less than a Dyson. Again, I wasn't looking for Dyson level, just a step up from a super cheap one. Unfortunately, it hasn't done that, and I often find myself going back to the $40 stick as opposed to this one. In terms of suction power, it's basically the same as far as I can tell. I don't see any improvement; I still have to go over surfaces (hardwood as well as thin carpet) a few times to get everything. In terms of battery life, it's also basically the same as far as I can tell. If anything, I have less time and battery life with this one than I do the cheap one. In terms of getting dirt off the floor, this one is much, much worse because if you're not carefully paying attention and don't empty the container often enough, it will open on its own and dump a full load of dirt, dust, cat litter, and cat hair all over the floor. Usually, this also happens towards the end of the battery life, meaning I now have to go get another vacuum to clean up the even bigger mess than I had before I used this one. In terms of convenience, this is just me, but I really dislike that the only way to charge the battery is with the piece that attaches to the wall. I don't want to hang this thing on my wall, which means I have to awkwardly prop up the wall piece to stick the battery on it to charge it. It would be a small inconvenience, but this thing needs to charge forever and often, so it ends up being a bigger annoyance than you'd think. For the price, this isn't worth it. Stick with the cheap vacuums, or go big with the Dyson - the middle ground that I hoped for doesn't exist here.

Great cordless stick vacuum!
I needed a cordless vac for the carpeted stairs in my 4 level condo as well as a mini vac for my car or small cleanups. I read tons of reviews and all seemed to have "issues" (too heavy or the on/off button had to be manually depressed at all times, for instance). What they all had in common was a short battery life (30 to 40 minutes), and attachments for mini vac needs, furniture, corners, etc. The newest Consumer Reports magazine had just come out and featured vacuum cleaners. The Tineco Pure One-S11 stick vacuum received its #1 rating, so I ordered one. First of all, it looks like something out of a Star Wars movie and is surprisingly light (I weigh under 100 pounds and have no trouble with it). It is also built to "twist and turn", so very highly maneuverable when on stairs. It has a lock feature that enables you to leave it on without having to keep depressing the on switch. It also has a high suction feature that runs down the battery faster, but is a great option for deep cleans. It is cleverly put together so can be taken apart easily for clean up, though the instructions were a bit confusing to me initially and I had to rely on my intuitive sense (I am not a big techie - maybe not a problem for most people). Customer service is super nice and go out of their way to help and follow up, if needed. The unit looks big when mounted on the wall and charging, but the extra parts can be stored on the base unit (they click on and off to remove), so out of the way. The filter can be removed after each use and put in a little unit and the vacuum cleans it in seconds - so filter is very easy to clean. I have not purchased a 2nd battery yet, but probably will, along with a long, narrow wand that looks like it might go further into hard to reach places. The charging unit has a place on top that will charge another battery after the one in the unit is fully charged. I couldn't believe what it found on my stairs!! Really a deep clean that made me realize how inadequate my lugging around my corded vacuum was. I think the best feature is that when there is a small amount or light dust, the blue light on the top stays blue - when it encounters more dust/dirt, it turns red, meaning you need to stay on that spot for longer until it goes all blue again - extremely cool and very useful. The only downside is probably not limited to Tineco, but battery life is 30 to 40 minutes and it takes 2 to 3 hours to recharge, and while the clean up is made easier by the filter cleaner, you still need to wipe out the inside plastic components, of which some parts are not that easy to get to. But all in all, I love it and my stairs have never been cleaner! I plan on vacuuming furniture next (couches, etc).

I loved this vacuum…for a while
I’m writing this review now after owning this vacuum for 2 years and 9 months and buying a new vacuum today. I loved this thing for a long time, was it superb? No (this is from a corded Dyson owner that is still running strong 9 years later). I didn’t want to spend the money on a stick Dyson vacuum but at the time didn’t need the big Dyson for every day use. Even then this thing didn’t see heavy heavy use. I never had battery problems, and the wall mount was quite a sought after feature for our family. However. You had to be careful with the continuous run time for this vacuum, if you don’t give it breaks between rooms the motor “overheats” and will shut down. This is understandable as it’s a small motor and not necessarily meant to run full time on an 1800 sq ft house. What I really started having problem with was the sensor consistently saying the tube was clogged. This thing trapped hair and was a nightmare to clean. Because the “tube was clogged” the suction on it was absolutely terrible. To the point it would push items around vs picking them up, or pull them half way up the tube till you turned the vacuum off, then drop everything back on the floor. I attempted to take the tube apart, to fully clean hair out of the stuck areas, to find that there is a “inner tube” made out of such thin metal, that upon reassembly it bent the end. I don’t think this vacuum had a chance to recover after that. It was a pain to get together in the first place. All said, maintenance is an absolute nightmare. For a $400 vacuum I am immensely disappointed that the sensor didn’t last, even when the batteries still were going strong. Suggestion? Go with a vacuum with less sensors and more simple.

Tineco s11
