The foam isn't as " soft " as you'd think. It is between your fingers but not once put around a door frame ( as an example ). It doesn't compress much ( if at all ) , so if your product is 5mm deep , make sure that the door will still close with that depth as it won't compress. So you will lose 5mm from the door frame and the lock from the door handle. I've had this issue myself , thinking the product will compress when the door closes but it didn't...
