Volcom Men's Frickin Chino Short

For those of you deciding between this style and the modern, let me explain the main difference; this one has a bit more space at the legs, the modern is tighter and looks a bit off, if you don't have the right body type or are used to the style all together. The modern style is for the skinny type, while this is more for the average type or athletic. I personally prefer this style; I'm just under 6' tall weighing 158 lbs.Material wise, these are perfect for hot summer days, the waist fits me perfect (31) and the length is right at the knees. All in all, a good pair of shorts that don't fit too tight or loose.

This review is for the Chino version of these shorts. I really wanted to give these 5 stars. They look good, the chino fabric quality is nice, and the tailoring and fit is really good. The stitching, seams and front button are high quality. ]They are very well-made shorts with high-end quality. I'd want to buy another pair or two in other colors, but the pockets are not well thought out. The rear pockets are fine, one with a button closure, but the front pockets suck. They are too shallow, with a wide slanted pocket opening. You don't want to wear these if you carry a cell phone in your pocket. I have just a regular iPhone 6 (not the bigger one) and it almost falls out of the pocket when I sit down. If it is in your pocket while walking, a corner of the phone sticks out. Don't wear these in a street festival unless you keep your phone in a holster (LOL). The front pockets need to be narrower and deeper.

A little dissapointed because upon searching the “Q&A” section for this product I was under the impression that they would have the work pocket on the side - that little pocket perfect for a cellphone. I own many pairs of these Volcom shorts and all of them have those pockets, these do not. An official response from the vendor when asked if these shorts have a work pocket is “yes.” I was dissapointed to see they actually do not, but they fit good and was just too lazy to return them. So, if you want that pocket, the most perfectly designed pocket for removing the burden of a clunky smart phone in your front or back pocket - look elsewhere.

I love my volcom shorts and get compliments every time I wear them. I own all the colors but heather is my favorite as I'm on my third pair in the last several years. They seem to hold up well as long as you care for them properly. The length is perfect as they sit just below the knee. They also have the volcom logo on the left inner leg and volcom across the rear pocket which gives them a sharp look. But my favorite thing about these shorts is the fit and finish, they are extremely comfortable and have become my everyday shorts, they even look great with a polo. I love the aesthetics and overall look to them. They sport a rear vertical stripe on the rear that really sets them apart. You cannot go wrong with these shorts, they are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. They will give you years of use and a fresh style to go with it.

When I opened the package the shorts came in and unfolded them, I noticed a burn mark on the leg of the shorts, very strange! I immediately went through the process of returning them and learned I can return them to kohl’s. The next morning I grab the shorts and notice something in the pocket. There was a lighter in the pocket of the shorts which explains the burn mark on the leg! I have never seen anything like this before. Obviously someone had worn the shorts (there were no tags on them) forgot their lighter in the pocket and returned them. The thing that surprises me the most is that nobody checks the pockets after an item is returned?! This easily could have started a fire on the mail truck. Very disappointed. I have another order of the same pair of shorts on their way, so we’ll see how the second pair is.

These are nice shorts but I missed the review that mentioned they are "relaxed fit". As soon as I opened the package I realized they were too baggy for my scrawny self, and saw the relaxed fit tag. That should really be in the description or even product name somewhere. I have other almost the same looking Volcom shorts that fit great and by just looking at the photo I assumed these were the same, they have the same style just a different fit. I think the ones I wanted were "Volcom Mens Vmonty Modern Fit Shorts" which are discontinued, which is a shame because they were quite literally the perfect shorts.Returning stuff is a hassle so I suppose a friend is going to get these.

First off, these shorts fit great. I am 6'2" 185Lbs (lean and fairly atheletic). My larger hip bones need some room to move around. The 'relaxed' fit size 34s work great, and every time I put these shorts on I am pleased to feel the extra room I have. (Apparently most shorts are made for men with stick straight, narrow hips). Some great improvements that these shorts have are reinforced button area (really important) and this really cool 'secret pouch' in the bottom of the right pocket that acts as a really good cell phone cradle in my opinion. (I am sure many people out there get annoyed when their phone flips sideways in their pockets.) This pocket totally prevents that.

The shorts were a gift to my boyfriend. He loves the way they fit AND the style. I must admit, they look good on him as he skateboards. The fit is just right! I purchased him another pair, different color. I can hardly wait to receive my delivery and gift them to him. Thank you Amazon Prime and Volcom!

Kaufempfehlung: Ja(im Blitzangebot)Auf der Suche nach neuen Shorts hab ich das Modell in den Blitzangeboten endeckt und direkt zweimal zugeschlagen.Ein Modell in der Farbe "Old Blackboard", eine weitere Hose in der Farbe "Navy".Beide Hosen sind gut verarbeitet und die Farben sehen gut aus. Da Sommerhosen etwas weiter sitzen sollen, habe ich extra in 36 bestellt, obwohl ich sonst 34 trage. Dadurch sitzt die Hose locker und angenehm, genau so wie ich es haben möchte. Wer einen engen Sitz bevorzugt, sollte seine tatsächliche Größe bestellen.Der reguläre Preis (~ 50 Euro) erscheint mir etwas hoch für eine normale kurze Hose, aber im Blitzangebot konnte ich das gute Stück für ca. 15 Euro erwerben. Da kann man absolut nichts falsch machen.

Buena calidad de material y corte. Es relaxed fit. Talla correcto,de largo pasa un poco por debajo rodilla. Se es ve unos pantalones duraderos como todos los volcom.

Musste die Shorts leider zurück senden, leider ist die Passform unglücklich gewählt. Etwas sackartig geschnitten, in der Größe 30 fällt die Hose eher zwei Größen größer aus, dementsprechend wäre Größe 28 eher geeignet gewesen. Für schlanke Menschen eher ungeeignet, sobald die Hose nicht auf Bauchnabelhöhe sitzt (und hält) ist sie zu lang geschnitten und setzt in der Kniekehle auf.

El producto concuerda con la descripción el único detalle es que el producto ya había sido revisado y la bolsa protectora ya no era, aparte de que al meterlo a la bolsa lo metieron hecho bolsa y llegó todo arrugado.

Die Shorts sieht super aus, passt gut und ist gut verarbeitet. Dazu ist sie angenehm zu tragen. Dicker Stoff und dennoch nicht zu schwer. 1A. Ich kann eine Kaufempfehlung aussprechen. Ich habe allerdings zu weitaus günstigeren Konditionen zugeschlagen. Knapp 50 Euro für ne Shorts finde ich persönlich schon recht happig.
