Best saw in its class!
These saws are one of the best values around. Far better than most saws popular in the camping/bushcraft community and much cheaper. Cuts through limbs with ease.

A favorite saw in our home
I have a couple of Bahco Laplanders saws, but wanted an orange handle so much for use at home. It's so hard to find that Green Laplander in our ground cover. Great saw, its a go to for any small yard pruning work for us.

Used for backpacking, works great.
Bought these for deep-winter backpacking where we need a fire at night (and are allowed one) in the Ozarks and Ouachitas. It works well, the double-action is great and it's very efficient when sawing through logs up to arm-thick (I haven't gone any thicker than that). I used it for clearing part of the OHT after a winter storm and it performed as well as could be expected. Fairly light, worth the weight, and love the folding action to keep it from snagging on anything in the pack. Well worth the purchase.

Sturdy, Efficient, and Handy
The Bahco PG72 folding pruning saw was a sturdy saw that cut well in both directions, was convenient to carry, and had a high visibility orange finish. Cutting the same branch several times with my discontinued Gerber Sportsman's Woods Saw took 8 strokes and the Bahco took 14 strokes. I filed just the finish off of the Bahco teeth and cut another branch. The Gerber took 8 strokes and the Bahco took 13 or 14 strokes. I sharpened the Bahco teeth and deepened the gullet (valley) between the teeth and cut another branch. The Gerber took 5 strokes and the Bahco took 8 strokes. I filed the the Bahco teeth to be more vertical and more square (perpendicular) to the cut and cut another branch. The Gerber took 13 to 15 strokes and the Bahco also took 13 to 15 strokes. This was an interesting experiment to see if I could make the Bahco teeth more aggressive. It was a well made, efficient folding saw, but I think for the same manufacturing cost, the teeth could have been punched out a little coarser. The photo shows the untouched Gerber teeth and the final condition of the modified Bahco teeth. The Bahco was a substantially more sturdy build while the Gerber was more aggressive.

Sharp and folds up safely with a safety button
I watched several reviews on this and decided to purchase it . I take it with me backpacking if I plan on processing fist sized logs or smaller , and it eats right through them.

Great Bahco saw in Blaze Orange. Easier to see over my green ones.
Love my Bahco saws. I have several and none have let me down yet. I'm putting together a camp set and was happy to see it offered in Blaze Orange making it easier to see over the green ones.

Excelente producto de Bahco. Muy buena hoja de sierra, muy buen grip o agarre. Equilibrio entre tamaño y peso. No encuentro nada qué mejorar en el producto. Aunque sí podría ser interesante, incluir una hoja de repuesto...

I recently purchased the Bahco PG72 Folding Pruning Saw, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my choice. This saw is an excellent tool for both gardening enthusiasts and professionals alike, showcasing a blend of functionality, durability, and comfort. The PG72's 240 mm blade is incredibly sharp and designed for efficient cutting. I found it perfect for tackling branches up to 10 cm in diameter (a great forearm workout, although I try to use my chainsaw, whenever possible). The sharp teeth ensure quick and smooth cuts. I’ve used it on various types of wood, and it performs well across the board. One of the standout features of this pruning saw is its foldable design, which makes it easy (and safe) to store and carry. The saw opens and closes smoothly, and the locking mechanism provides a secure and safe user experience. Using the PG72 for extended periods is a breeze, thanks to its ergonomic handle. It provides a comfortable grip, reducing hand fatigue significantly, which is crucial for anyone tackling large pruning jobs. The build quality of the saw is impressive, reflecting Bahco's good reputation. The blade is made from high-carbon steel, which ensures longevity while remaining lightweight. I've had the green Laplander, for many years, and went for the orange handle, due to its increased visibility. Overall, I highly recommend the Bahco PG72 Folding Pruning Saw for anyone in need of a reliable, efficient cutting tool. Whether you're maintaining your garden or clearing branches, this saw delivers exceptional performance and ease of use. It's small, compact, and very handy.

Einfach gut.
