It is economic to buy refill leads and I use 4 different ranges.I had a slight problem with one pencil . . . very fast response from Customer Services who resolved the problem immediately.Good supply of refill leads included in the package - sharpeners work really well* - not tried the eraser - AND a pencil case is included!* I would suggest leaving the sharpener built in the end of the pencil alone. Difficult to clean / empty. Use the separate sharpeners supplied.

I was very happy with the led and the lightness of the pencil. One thing that I was worried about was the led fading in colour or when it is not dark enough. I am very happy with the quality of the product. I could write with this for awhile. The product even came with a pencil case, which was really nice. I wasn't aware that they also came with coloured leds, so I'm very happy about that. Can't wait to try them out. I picked this set because the price was the most economical and the reviews were very good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.In fact, I would buy this for my nephew who is now 6, he like to deliberately break off his pencil so that he can skive off "sharpening his pencil". With this product, he can't do that. hah!

The price for this set reflects its quality. if you need to change the lids that will be very tricky. It won’t open on the top like the most mechanical pencils and they break after very little use and can’t be fixed. They are very light because made of plastic, which justifies the price, but I’m not sure how to use the colours now as you can’t put them from the top, only by pushing through the narrow lid grip part at the bottom.Update: the second one got broken just after very light use.

Bought these for my 10 years old daughter who is a very talented young artist already at her age. She loves them and the fact that they have so many different colours of leads is fantastic. We got nine pencils and over 100 leads of various colours for about the same price as one with 5 leads from Tesco or Boots. Am I pleased? You bet I am. I've actually bought another set just for me. I might need to hide them as my daughter has been eyeing them up too.Forgot to add that they also came with a nice little pencil case, a rubber and a tiny pencil sharpener. Another great feature is each pencil also has a built-in sharpener in the bit you push to extend the lead. This is a nice feature to keep a sharp point on your lead if necessary. I found it easier to sharpen the lead while in situ using one of the other sharpeners of another of the pencils. My niece who is also an artist tried them and straight away ordered a set.

Thought this came in a pencil case or at least some kind of packaging. It actually all comes loose, making it tricky to wrap or present in a nice way.
