The Hydrosol smelled nice but was used up in no time when I sprayed it as often as instructed. it also didn't do much other than wet my skin. I chose to purchase the full size pomegranate serum because I felt that it was the only worthwhile product in the kit and a little goes a long way. **Q: Is this recommended for evening only or can it be used mornings too?** A: I have used it for both but it is a bit heavier than other tonics so depends on your skin. If it absorbs fast then you would be good to go. **Q: Is this supposed to have a very strong scent?** A: It does have a scent that in my opinion is not that pleasant. It's not overwhelming though and once applied it goes away. The benefits out way the smell to me. You only need a small amount. I have only needed a dime size but if your skin is very dry use a little more. This product has lasted me over a year so even though it's pricey it lasts a long time. It is a little think so if your skin is really dry I mix it with a hyaluronic serum which is more of a liquid to thin it out. Then I apply my moisturizer. Use this product before moisturizer like any serum. Serums go deeper into the epidermis then moisturizer so always apply first in order to get the full benefits. I am a licensed Esthetician and recommended this product. I have some hyper-pigmentation issues and had heard so many great things about this line. I'm so grateful to another reviewer who said it was IMPERATIVE to get the HydroSoul (water) to go with the serum. Following her lead, and the advice of the website/ customer service (which was really fantastic) I went to Whole Foods and picked up the Immortelle HydroSoul.I've had THREE rounds of IPL laser in an effort to get rid of the discoloration and have seen more benefit from this line in ONE WEEK than all three, very expensive, I might add, rounds of laser. It is such a noticeable difference that I've received comments from two people about how amazing my skin is looking. After a week!!! I love what she stands for, I love that it's well priced (for the reviewers complaining about price they must not shop for serums as the average price is $200).Since I've only recently purchased it I'm not sure how long it will last but my sense is that I'll get several months out of it. I've purchased the complete line (minus the clay which I plan to add)- eye cream, lemongrass polish, etc. and I love all of it. The scent is not "perfume-y" so I can see where some might find it unusual or unfamiliar. I'm sensitive to scent and while it didn't smell like some gorgeous garden, it is most certainly not offensive and it doesn't last.Each product comes with instructions about how to use it and it's important to follow the directions to get the most out of it. My face was covered in scars from previous bad acne. After reading the recommendations on the evanhealy website, and emailing with their customer support, I decided to try this serum. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you use this serum with one of their Hydrosouls. My personal favorite is the Immortelle for scar healing and reactive skin. I was completely astounded that there was miraculous healing of my scars after just one bottle of the serum. It healed my skin so well that I am the only one who notices the scarring anymore. I am on my second bottle of this serum and I am continuing to see the remarkable healing effects of this product.I will state it again- USE THIS SERUM WITH A HYDROSOL. Mixing the oil and water is what allows the oils to sink deeply and completely into your skin. This simple mix of oil and water mirrors our natural skin sebum(oil) and sweat(water). Because of this, it is very effective at loosening congestion in the skin. I was still having pretty consistent blemishes before, but this product has completely cleared my skin up. I am nearly blemish free, just getting very few hormonal blemishes at that time of the month.For the reviewers who say that this oil is too heavy, they are not using it properly. Spraying liberally with the hydrosol completely changes the consistency. I spray my cleansed skin with 5-7 sprays of hydrosol, followed by 1-2 pumps of the Pomegranate Repair followed by another 3-4 sprays of hydrosol. Evan calls this an "oil and water sandwich". It absolutely is not a heavy oil when used this way. This is true for all of the evanhealy oil serums.
