First let me explain why I'm giving this product 4 stars rather than 5. it works great and the dog we're giving it to loves the taste of it. Our ogher dogs all get jealous when she gets her daily tablet. But, it contains maltodextrin and is not GMO free. Since maltodextrin is made from corn, most corn is GMO corn, and this is not non-GMO, I would guess the maltodextrin is made with GMO corn. There are a couple other inactive ingredients that I am not thrilled with. Natural flavoring is usually not much better than artificial flavoring and can be something as gross as anal secretions from a beaver. Now, onto the good stuff! This joint supplement is made in the USA!! Always a good thing!! The ingredients are: Glucosamine HCL (shellfish) 550mg Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane (MSM) 450mg Tart Cherry & Dark Berry Proprietary Blend 250mg Chondroitin Sulfate 100mg Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) Hyaluronic Acid 5mg Linolenic Acid Omega 3 (Flaxseed) 12000mcg Linolenic Acid Omega 6 (Flaxseed) 2600mcg dl-Alpha Tocopherly (Vitamin E) 5IU. This product has a really good dose of Glucosamine and MSM, which I am very pleased about! I'll talk about how the active ingredients help relieve joint pain in a moment. The inactive ingredients are: Citric Acid, Dicalcium Phosphate, Malt, Maltodextrins, Microcrystalline Cellulose, magnesium stearate, Natural Flavoring, Rosemary Extract, Silica Aerogel and Stearic Acid. Glucosamine and chondroitin help reduce inflammation around the joints. Omega 3 and omega 6 help reduce inflammation and arthritis in dogs. Vitamins C & E help with collagen. MSM helps to prevent inflammation and helps in the healing process. I didn't follow the directions for use for the first 3 weeks since Roxy was already taking a joint supplement. She's been taking 1 tablet a day as she weights 14 pounds and has been more active than she has been in the 3 years since we adopted her. She actually hadn't been acting like she was in pain. I just tried a joint supplement a few months ago because it also contained a probiotic and noticed how much better she seemed to feel! More active than ever and smiling a LOT! If you even suspect your dog may be having some joint pain, try this out and, if you see a difference, you'll know. It certainly can't hurt and can only help. I've been trying out different joint supplements to try and find the one that works the best for Roxy and that has ingredients I am happy with. I am extremely picky about ingredients so most people would probably not have an issue with the inactive ingredients. I have a 13 year old Siberian Husky that has been showing signs of having trouble with her joints. She is slower getting up and down and slower climbing the stairs. I can tell you that after she took this supplement for a few days, I have begun to see some improvements. She enjoys these tablets and sees them as treat. THANK goodness because there's nothing worse than trying to administer medications to an old, grouchy, unruly dog!The biggest improvement that I have noticed is that she is not panting all the time anymore. Panting is a way that a dog cools themselves off but it is also a sign that your dog is in pain.She isn't hesitating as much when it comes time to go up and down the stairs. She is still having trouble getting up and down when she lays down but I imagine that is probably the most painful and difficult thing for older dogs to do once they start to have issues with their joints.I was ready to call the vet and see what he suggested when I decided to try this product. You know I was worried that my fur baby wouldn't take and eat these, after having the liquid for so long. I was wrong! I give them to him and he just eats it with no problem. So I am assuming that means they taste good. I give it to him in morning and it seems to be helping him get up and walk. He isn't whining as much now.
