Review: Brilliant! - I wasn’t too sure what the overall quality would be but was presently surprised. It is a good quality little unit packed with features that ships with all of the video connectors that the unit supports (except for a mini-HDMI to HDMI adapter), unlike some others that you need to buy a bunch of connectors before you can use it at all. Once caveat to that is that if you are wanting to connect it to an iPhone/iPad then you will need to get the Apple HDMI connector separately. I have found that this units works very well with and iPhone 5s and an iPad2. I brought this to use when we go on holiday but was unsure if it would be bright enough as I had no idea what 95 lumens looked like. It's a really good portable projector that works brilliantly. It's also a lot brighter than the description would imply when you use too, even on battery it is bright enough to watch, in a fully lit room it is still visible but as expected it's not the ideal conditions to use a projector in. The picture quality is very good for its size it's nice and sharp with a good colour range. The internal fan is loud but no louder than a full size projector and is bearable. I mount this on the bed head about 2 feet above my head using a gorilla mount and the noise is fine. I run the volume at about 5-7 (about 1/4) and it is about right for me. The internal 1.0-watt speaker is pretty good but some may find that a good set of headphones is better. There is no keystone correction on this model so ideally it does need to be square with the surface that you are projecting onto, I have found however that it can be slightly off and it still looks good. There is a stand supplied, which I wasn't expecting, but I would suggest investing in a gorilla stand as these are more stable and can be set to grip onto surfaces to prevent the whole assembly from tipping over. I would recommend getting a carry case for it as there is no case supplied with the unit and there are a lot of small connectors/cables etc. I have used this unit numerous times and it has worked fantastically each time, I would highly recommend it for travel or a kid’s room.
Review: Wodnerful art projector - It's important to note that I've had this little guy for 25 hours. Also important that I bought him for only (1) purpose; to enlarge sketches to full size canvas. What a WONDERFUL device. It's bright enough for working in "daylight." I'm currently sitting in ~50 footcandles, and it's more than bright enough to work with easily. If I open the shades to let the sun hit the work surface at a near-blinding 300 footcandles, it's washed out too much to work, but in non-industrial lighting it's fine. Throw distance is also excellent. I'm working on an 18x24 watercolor paper, not using the full width of the projection and the lens is 60" from the board. That's 30" diagonal at 60" distance, exactly what the spec says I should expect. This is ½ the price of the projector I was considering (one specifically marketed as an art projector), with ¼ the lumens, and I'm thinking I got the better deal, because I don't have to fuss with a power cord. As a nod to other reviewers, yes the fan is loud enough to notice. But I really don't care; I usually have music or the TV going when I paint. The only issue I've had so far is that the remote was bad out of the box, but it looks like structural failure on the keypad. I've already contacted AAXA customer support and expect a replacement to be forthcoming.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this projector work with Iphone 5?**
A: yes but, This product is a bullsheet, don't have support from the manufacturer, this projected image is the worst I see, even amazon dont respond for the product. this is a fraud !....

**Q: i'm confused: does this have a regular USB port in which to insert a USB stick? or just a mini?**
A: It has a mini USB port on the unit, but it comes with a standard USB to mini cable so you can plug in your USB stick into the cable and the other end of the cable to the projector.... Not sure why they just didn't put a standard USB port on the unit, seems like there is space and cost less than including a converter cable.

**Q: Do you need an extra adapter to use with a Macbook Pro?**
A: If the Macbook Pro requires a special input/output connector then yes. If your Macbook Pro has a standard HDMI out then the only thing you will need is an HDMI type C adapter. There are 3 or 4 ends for an HDMI cable. The most common is type A which is the plug that goes to your TV, DVD player, etc. Then there is the one that connects to small devices like cell phones and that is HDMI type D. Then there is an in between connector called HDMI type C. To use an HDMI cable on this projector you will need an adapter from type A to type C. It's only a few bucks here on Amazon. So look for HDMI A to C adapter. Or you can buy an HDMI A to C cable which eliminates the need for an adapter.

**Q: Just wondering can this projector be used in Uk/Ireland?**
A: Should be no problem - power supply/charger works on 220v here in South Africa - you just need an adapter to allow you to plug in the US style plug into your British style power socket.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does everything I wanted it to.
*by B***N on November 19, 2012*

I purchased this particular pico projector for a wide range of tasks: client presentations when no projector is available, impromptu use for gaming/movie watching on a wall or ceiling, throwing schematics onto the surface of wood/metal to scale for scribing the cut markings, throwing a guide image up for painting murals on large surfaces. I have to say, it does everything and it does it well. The 80 lumen lamp is bright enough so a power point presentation is readable with the conference room lights on, using it to scribe schematics onto material in a well lit workshop, I eve. used to for the 2nd screen feature for an F1 race recently, with a lot of ambient light pouring in from outside, and the image looked good. The only cons, and these are minor ones at most: The cooling fan in the unit can be a bit noisy if you are watching video with no audio in a quiet setting for an extended period of time, if there is any background noise it's hardly noticeable. The colors in video appear a bit vivid, but this may be to me not having played with the settings enough. The built in speaker is very tinny, not worthy of being used for audio, but would do if no other alternative is available. Other than that, the unit is great! I was surprised with the accessories that were bundled, a tiny tripod was in the box, which was surprisingly sturdy. For the price point this is an excellent buy if you are looking for a small, versatile, portable projector to tether to a laptop or tablet on the go.
