A Lot of bulgur! Glad its good!
Let me start off by saying that 25 lbs is A LOT of Bulgur! I knew I was ordering bulk but Wow! Now that I've cleared space in my pantry and come up with ways to eat it at least twice a week, we're enjoying it. It's good bulgur. It cooks very nicely. It also makes good tabouli. I rinse it, and, contrary to other reviews, there's very little that I pick out of it. A great price per pound. Much cheaper than I can get it in stores.

DISSAPOINTED
Wanted to purchase grain for long term keep for emergencies. Grain was a good value, but I am confused if it is food grade or animal feed? Bulgur wheat supposed to be smaller ground, precooked grain, but this grain is very large and has a lot of parts from the plant. Also did not expected to be such a dark color.

Great product
Good quality, high in fiber, healthy and tasty, in particular, if you want a change form rice or potato. Would upgrade the packaging a bit so the bag would have an option of zipping it to prevent from bugs. Highly recommended for healthy diet.

Bulgar wheat
I did not like the wheat size, could have been a bit finer, but then we get what you pay for, can grind it ourselves and use it.

Flavor is good, price is good
Flavor is good, price is good, however the product has not been sifted well and there are small stones present. To small for me to sift out but large enough to be there in finished product. The number of which is such that the eating experience is not what it should be.

Product problem
The bulgur wheat was of good--not great--quality. And the price was excellent. However, the product had a hard rock-like substance in it and I cracked a crown. I detected the hard stuff in the product more than once.

not impressed
I had been buying Bob's Red Mill Bulgur and wanted a cheaper option. This is a comparison to that brand. The postal lady was not happy about the weight because she dropped it off in the middle of my driveway. There was some spillage because instead of the Kraft like bag pictured, the product was in a plastic woven animal feed like bag and the string at the top was loose. The taste is "earthy" like the smell in a feed store. In about every cup of product, there is something crunchy. I don't know what it is, possibly some dirt or sand. And it takes about 7 minutes longer to cook than I am used to.

Good stuff - love buying in 4-packs too.
I use bulgur wheat in tabbouleh and in whole-grain breads, among other things, to try and keep my hubby and I on a heart-healthy diet.I've purchased tons of Roland products, and they tend to be either of amazing quality or merely acceptable (especially with regard to the brand's canned items). This is one of the really great ones. Bulgur wheat and similar grains are extremely hard to find locally, so being able to purchase this in a four-pack through Amazon makes it easy to always have some in the pantry.
