Get the wider size. You'll like it
Great way to travel. Folds up tiny and has a draw string carry bag. Wish I'd gotten the wider size.

Great triathlon or any day Towel
I now have this towel I'm 2 sizes. I love that it folds/rolls up to nothing and is super absorbent. Love the design of the graphics, love the softness. Love the elastic band sewn into it so when you fold and roll it up, it stays put. Even when wet, it does take up a lot of space in my bag. It's especially great for training in Triathlon as it's a great training matt. To eliminate sand getting in the least amount of places as possible. I have the bath towel size and the oversized beach blanket size. The bigger one is really great if friends want to share. We can get 6 peopels gear bags and still stand on an edge to put on or take off a wetsuit.Washes perfect. No change to size or shape after 1st wash or 10th wash. Colors don't bleed bit I only wash with like colors.Note on WASHING and CARE:Personally I DO NOT USE Fabric softener. Like on any micro fiber type yoga/Sports towels, I don't use fabric softener as it breaks down the absorption qualities and makes towels feel "greasy". Also, I splurge and use The Laundress Sport Detergent on all my tri, workout and yoga clothes and towels (basically anything with nylon or elastic), and my stuff lasts far longer than people that use harsh detergents. If you invest in nicer quality items, take the tiny bit of extra time to take care of them....then they last longer. I have sports towels and workout clothes that I have used/worn for over 3-5 years and they are just like new! And name brand or generic, check your fabric content and Google The Laundress. You won't be sorry.

Not a great towel but a GREAT beach blanket!
Could it be used as a towel? Yes. Is it like what you use at home every day? No.Personally, I like a fabric more absorbent for a towel, even at the beach. This is a thin flannel-type fabric like what is used to make baby receiving blankets. It’s soft but not fluffy absorbent. It IS absorbent but it’s different feel against your skin. I would use it in a pinch as a towel but would be thinking ICK, NO while doing it.I bought this to use as a beach blanket. This company sells this same product, different prints and sizes, as a beach blanket but I liked this print the best. I sewed sturdy ribbon looped onto the corners so that I could stake it into the sand to keep it from blowing away. Worked perfectly! (Their blanket version already have this.)You are able to shake 99% of the sand off it whether it’s wet or dry. The little that’s left is not problematic at all and much less than what a towel would hold. It also dries quickly, is light to carry, and takes up less space than a traditional beach blanket. The size I purchased is big enough for three people to lay across it. When it’s just me, I fold it in half and still have plenty of room for my bag, book, lunch box, etc.I’ve used it six times and washed it. Still holding up great. Color still looks good!If that changes, I’ll update my review.

Perfect size for a beach towel replacement
This towel sucks the moisture off you and your bathing suit. It’s light and compact, making hauling to the beach or pool easy. Simple to wash in a machine and then hang dry. We have replaced all our beach towels!

It works, it's thin, good size, colors were muted. I like it.
Even though there are pictures online, I was shocked at how thin this was. I kept it because I like the size and can use it as a thin layer between me and leather seats in the summer LOL. It arrived right before vacation and I figured that I would try it but would have to get an additional, more traditional towel when we got there. I never got the chance and only used this.It works. It definitely absorbs many times it's weight, but it's a thin weight/thickness, you know what I mean? There's enough material that I just moved it around to get to a drier spot and used that.It dries quickly.Mine didn't have the colors shown for what I picked. Online the colors appear more like bright and jewel tones. I figured that I would somewhat coordinate with my bathing suit but the colors were muted. If I were in a store I would have dug through the selection to find one with the colors I wanted. The attached elastic loop and mesh bag are really nice touches. I used the bag to put my glasses, phone and whatever little stuff I didn't want to misplace in when I had the towel spread out on the lawn chair.I didn't use it at the beach (thanks stomach bug on vacation) but it would be ideal for that since sand wouldn't stick to it.Last thing: I noticed that when it was wrapped around my wet body that it kept me warmer than a traditional towel would have. That's a plus!

NOT A TOWEL!
I purchased this because I liked the concept of a fast drying 'towel' that is easy to shake sand off of it and can possibly double as a blanket with its oversize. This is truly a thin thin thin big piece of microfiber cloth. The patterns that this comes in are nice and eye catching; I got the Rio de Janeiro pattern. I liked how it came in its own matching carry bag, which makes it easier to pack and go. However, I bought the biggest one. If I use it as a blanket, then I am not going to use it as the towel it's advertising itself to be. If it's a blanket, then I am going to bring a separate towel and that defeats the purpose. Plus, as nice as it looks, it's really so thin, it is not worth the price of over $30, maybe $15 - $18 at best.
