I’ve been feeding Diamond Naturals Adult Dog Beef Meal & Rice Formula to my adult dog and we’ve been really happy with it. The kibble looks good quality and I feel confident about the ingredients. My dog eats it enthusiastically every time, which is not always the case with other brands. His coat looks shiny and he seems to have good energy since we switched. Digestion has been good too. There haven’t been any issues with upset stomach or loose stools, which was something I noticed with a few other foods we tried in the past. The beef meal and rice combo seems to sit well with him. Portions are easy to measure and the bag lasts a solid amount of time. For the price, you get a lot of food that doesn’t feel like cheap fillers. Overall this formula has been a great everyday food for my dog and I’d recommend it to other dog owners who want a quality beef based kibble.

A starving young dog wandered into my yard on Feb 14. He could barely stand and was bones and skin. He was vomitting and defacating goo and mucus as he was full of worms. His eyes showed pleading for help. His smile was genuine. I certainly did not want a dog. People have been dumping animals or moving away leaving pets behind here. I didnt know anything about dog food and about grain and corn fillers. I just gave him some fresh eggs and rabbit meat from a farm mixed in some food I bought at the store till the Diamond Naturals food arrived. Then had him de-wormed by a vet. My bag of Diamond Naturals arrived. I shopped by price vs quality and chose it. He is nearly done with the first 40# bag. I went with the beef because it was cheapest. Its all he eats now with very few treats. I walk him at night after work and I am very pleased. Changed collars twice this month as his neck has quadrupled in size. He is a machine whom could probably out-play any dog on the planet. Im now the only one who can walk him because he is too strong for my wife and kids. His fur is thick and soft, his whiskers have tripled in length on his chin and face. He has grown from starving puppy to healthy dog in a month and a half. I certainly see no reason to change his food or reccomend any other food to anyone else. It is outstanding in every way. The ingredient list is stacked with good stuff. I have switched dog foods frequently over the years (I have always been careful to gradually ease the transition as to not upset his stomach) because he can be a rather pick eater when it comes to some dog foods. There have been dog foods I have tried in the past that are highly reviewed with excellent ingredients, but unfortunately probably didn't taste appetizing to my dog. For example, I tried Nature's Domain and some of the Science Diet brands but both were unappetizing to my dog. The cheaper dog foods seem to be appealing to my dog, likely because they use a lot of fat and other cheap ingredients that probably taste good to dogs. It reminds me of why I like cheap double cheese burgers from McDonalds... In any case, aside from my Rat Terrier liking this food, I always check dog foods I am interested in potentially purchasing against the free websites dogfoodadvisor and dogfoodinsider to get a more accurate analysis of the ingredients. Reviews on Amazon can be quite subjective and even the most knowledgeable dog-owners generally are not the absolute best experts on all the effects of each dog food ingredient. Hence why I use those two websites. Diamond Naturals dog food scored 3.5 stars on both of dog food review sites (which is a pretty good score). Conclusion: Quality dog food with good ingredients (confirmed through analysis by dogfoodadvisor and dogfoodinsider) and my Rat Terrier enjoys the food. It is well-priced on Amazon for the quality and amount. I definitely recommend this dog food.

There are 3 main reasons why we like the Diamond Naturals Dry Food for Adult Dog, Beef and Rice Formula: 1. My Woof-Woof Eats It Up – I shovel out a couple scoops of this stuff for Ned each morning, and it’s all gone the next morning. The cats might be eating it. 2. It Doesn’t Make Him Sick – He rarely sicks up, and when he does, it’s because of the table scraps we gave him. 3. The Ingredients Are Healthy – No soy, no wheat, no corn. I should probably be eating this stuff. We bought this Diamond Naturals product because we have bought from DN for as long as I’ve joined this pet family. The pets seem to enjoy it and to be relatively healthy. We have one dog who does most of the eating. He’s a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever who is between the ages of 12 and 14. I don’t know. I’m not a pet person. I’m assuming that he likes this product. He hasn’t said anything one way or the other about it. In fact, I cannot recall him ever talking to me. He leads a pretty boring life, and I’m an introvert, so I’ve never pursued a conversation with him. I tasted it, and it seemed fine. We purchased the 40-pound bag about a month ago, and there’s still about half of it left. So, it lasts. The last food we got for him was DN Lamb and Rice, but we must have gotten a bad bag because that had a bunch of pulverized kibble in it. There was no such issue with the Beef and Rice Formula. So, we may stick with this for a while unless the other becomes incredibly inexpensive. Anyway, I would recommend this to anyone with an adult dog.
