Will an old packet still work?** A: Hi Mark, as long as it's been in an airtight container. Thea'rs no mention of shelf life in the storage chapter in the supplied paperwork. I couldn't find A date code, or date of manufacture anywhere. You can tell if it's been contaminated buy the condition of it. It should pour freely from it's container (no clumping) and looks like saw dust (medium small coarseness) and consistency of cat litter or oil dry. I would think the worst that could happen if you use it would be no killing power from break down of the active ingredient. Hope this helps.
