I bought this on a whim wanting "spice up" my breakfast/lunch meal. (pun not entirely intended). I frequently make some white rice, and stir in some eggs, and add a little bit of whatever I have around the house, mushrooms/sausage/peas/carrots/green peppers/onions. That's pretty flavorful, but I wanted something a little more. After some online recipe shopping I came across Gochujang. My little grocery store does not carry it, so I found this product on amazon. It has a decent amount of heat. I find Tabasco and Franks red hot and standard buffalo hot wings and jalapenos are a comfortable level of heat and this is a smidge hotter in my opinion. Also there is a fermented funkiness to this sauce that took a couple of tastes to acquire. This is more of a concentrate and not to be eaten alone (I took a small taste when I got it just to test...not great by itself). Mix it in other stuff.

The flavor is delicious, I love the small size. The only thing is the description said MILD, it's not mild. I have an ulcer and try to find substitutes for many things. Just a bit disappointed that I won't be able to enjoy this Gochujang.

This tub is going to last me forever! Fortunately, the container and ingredients are shelf stable because this would never fit in my fridge! Great value for the price and an amazing flavor bomb for a variety of dishes!

Great value to use for spicy Asian dishes such as red curry and other dishes! It tastes very good and tasty! Very happy with this purchase! The size is very large and so thankfully, it doesn’t go bad in the refrigerator after opening. I’ve had it for a while now.. unlike another very popular brand that rhymes with fry!

Per chi ama il cibo piccante e i sapori forti e decisi, questa pasta è assolutamente l'ideale. E' molto versatile e si può impiegare non solo in preparazioni etniche, ma anche nella cucina italiana. La conoscevo già, ma non l'avevo mai acquistata on line, e sono assolutamente soddisfatta

Lo compre al iniciarme en el mundo de la comida koreana y la verdad es que ha sido un acierto. Aunque llegó con una vida útil algo más reducida (me dio posibilidad de cambio el fabricante), recomiendo que se pregunte antes de comprar por la fecha de caducidad. El producto es fantástico a mi juicio, de sabor ahumado, textura algo dulzona al principio, que luego se transforma en un picor de intensidad media ya que, no deja de ser un Chile. Es muy tipico de la comida coreana que tiene una multitud de usos y distintas presentaciones. Este producto lo adquiri en forma de pasta (1kg) aunque lo hay de menor cantidad, y como dije en otras for.as con polvo molido ó también en hojuelas de Chile. Tiene un color rojo muy marcado y llamativo que le da a los platos una presencia inigualable. Es el chile que se utiliza para hacer kimchi..por supuesto hay infinidad idas de platos no coreano que se pueden beneficiar de su aroma y sabor. Volveré a comprar.
